I'm thinking this is actually part of one of an expanded reactor escape, OR entrance. Example - when the badges/ID fails in the train.
Yeah, could be that I suppose. One of the best parts of FFVII for me was the buildup to seeing Sephiroth for the first time in any form. Tracking the blood smears to President Shinra in Shinra HQ is going to be dooooooope.

Maybe they just moved a bicycle chase scene to earlier in the game and have something different planned for later. Nothing is guaranteeing multiple bike chases at the moments is there.

Barret's arm bag is still dumb.
I am not sure if we are going to have drastic differences tbh. I feel the model is already incredibly good, they just need to work on some poly-counts and better hair.

They're still there. Part 1, which is Midgar, is two discs.
How embarassing for Famitsu. Do we know why there are two?

Midgar should big enough to warrant that + you would have your traversal option for such a big game
I'm kinda reminded of Horizon Zero Dawn seeing all these bright combat lights and sparks. I hope that FF7R will have great HDR, these effects have a potential of looking magnificent in HDR.

Technically, but there's also the fact that it just sort of makes sense. The bike section is really popular and cool, so they'd want to pour resources into making it good, but if they did that they'd want to get a much out of that work as possible. It also gives the player early practice at this alternate control setup, maybe allowing them to make the final chase more difficult and complex. So multiple bike chases is a perfectly logical assumption, though it's far from hard proof.
It's definitely going to just be an install disc, people. What do you think digital buyers would do otherwise? :P

This is minor but I really like the damage numbers. They're super clear while still being unobtrusive and they hang just long enough that you can easily see them. Most modern rpgs do a bad job with them.

Yeah probably right. Since it's confirmed Midgar only the 'looking out at the world' moment is the most obvious end point. Hopefully it has a Rufus and turks in helicopter chase or something to end though since the normal end boss on the highway is kind of bland.
About this threads title. The "open spoilers" part will always be about the OG game oh this thread will also allow spoilers for the remake?
