Golden goal was axed quickly because it felt hugely anticlimactic. Not sure why silver goal was canceled though. I think ultimately it made teams just more conservative instead of less.

True, but I still kinda liked it though. Now with extra time you always have the biggest disadvantage possible when you have to play a couple days later. Never realized it was that long ago though.

I was just glad we got them to the PK. Against Costa Rica, I expected to have the game finished by the 90th mark. Did not expect Costa Rica to have that level of play in them.
