Sephiroth in the original Final Fantasy VII. Which they completely butcher in the remake, still think it would've been equally effective if they kept Sephiroth the end instead of showing him early. Alas, it is what it is.

Which one tho. I feel like he has a bunch of them in the original game (and all pretty effective at that), which is something rare enough to be of note
Chrono Trigger has a fantastic introduction for basically every player character but I've always liked Robo's in particular. His musical theme is such a great contrast to how depressing that entire section of the game had been up to that point.
Balthier and Fran from FFXII.

Meryl in MGS (or Twin Snakes), I like the way that was done. Building up to their meeting.
