I'm just lucky that a lot of my favorites are also top tier in this game, but if they weren't that still wouldn't stop me from pulling for them.
That's not an issue for me (I'm after Melt come CCC), but I'm pleased that DW have been making an effort since late 2017 to make easier to obtain alternatives and welfares (Mecha Eli-chan, Salieri, Samba Quetz) for these previously very exclusive classes.
I mean it's the same modifier as zerkers so...
As I say, most people don't need to worry about it with Mecha Eli being strong. But when you're good at almost every other position you might as well strengthen your roster.

Passion Lip and Mecha Eli are the only Alter Egos I'm really interested in. I use Okita Alter on my JP account and she's alright I guess.
Also since there are 2 versions of Mecha Eli chan we'll have 2 free Alter Egos by next year.
One is silver with a robot voice and one is colored with an Eli voice.
I still don't actually know what alter egos are meant to represent lol. I know they're meant to be composite characters but that part doesn't really look like it matters.

Nah, I;m serious. Like, I have no need for another Buster Lancer, but that won't stop me from trying for Summer Raikou. Ideally I'd like to try for Shuten as well (despite her sitting near the bottom on the tier list when it comes to Assassins), but given how Merlin's banner destroyed me SQ-wise, I'm not sure I'll be able to manage it. :(
There are some exceptions where I pull for power-level (such as with Merlin, but even then, Solomon made me really like the guy), but generally I pull for characters I like.

Good news, those two are on the same banner! I definitely recommend Caster if you don't have any of those, though. Two are top tier and the "worst" one isn't even bad, just not as good

Thing about tamamo is that she's very good, but she's not very good in the general sense that waver is. You need a game plan and team comp if you want to use her while waver you could just use him for everything.

I'm also not super fond of her design lol Jeanne that is; though a good deal of older tier lists say she is amazing

Jeanne was my first Servant. Easy to use, easy to level to 90 (monument for everything). Her NP is just ok now, but is amazing after her interlude. Her main problem is her skills are crap and she does no dmg, but she's kinda not supposed to. Avengers are rare so she's outlast almost everything else. Debuff cleanse isn't all that useful for awhile but when it comes into play you'll like it.
Jack is just plain awesome, very fun (keep her in her trash bag cloak though)

She is very good, but not for stuff you'll be doing a lot more of.
Like in general western tier lists seems to only focus on challenge quests when that's like 1% of the game.
Jack is probably the best 5* Assassin (at least, after Skadi releases), and Jeanne, while she has a niche, is very...VERY good at what she does, especially when you complete her Interlude.
That being said, if you don't have any of the Casters on the guaranteed banner, there's no question that should be the one you pull. Just hope for Waver (if not him, then Tamamo) and if you fail to get both, Sanzang is one hell of a consolation prize.

:o I did not know this. I was just going to go with the pink one because it looked better imo but I'll have to check out the voice lines too now. I know we'll get both but I only plan to level the skills on the first one.
It's interesting, because you're right that challenge quests are only 1% of the game, but 99% of the time when you require a tier list its for challenge quests lol. I do think sites should have a dedicated farming tier list though.

Mhmhmhmhm! Mahahahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I have, at long last, gotten enough stingers for Gramps! That last run dropped three of them, too, so I'm at 179!
So I just need to farm 22 more for Medusa Lily and hope that Gramps won't mind that I don't have enough gold Assassin gems...

You'll either get Jack or Jeanne on the whims of the gacha.
I went for the Jack and Jeanne roll and got the latter. Way I see it is you're getting one of the best SSRs in the game no matter what. They just fulfill drastically different roles gameplay wise from the other.
Still a difficult choice of which banner to pull despite the fact that I'm not even actually spending any real money on it (though it will basically use up all the rewards credit I have left). No matter what I keep falling just short of justifying to myself that it's worth it.

Looking ahead, the next Servant I'll likely be summoning for will be Melt. it sucks, since her, Fuyajo, Shuten, AND summer Servants all hit within the same few month period so I can't try for them all, and then Merlin again shortly after that. It looks like I have some difficult decisions to make.
I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat, really. Melt then Sherlock then Summer Nero is a brutal combo in the middle of the year, but thankfully getting Ishtar now means my end of the year might be easier than originally planned, even if I still end up going for Ereshkigal and Hokusai back-to-back.
Got Musashi. Yesss, that's my first SSR Saber. Time to save SQs for whatever come next (or maybe not and just yolo every banner)

First. It's the best thing about her. With the right set up, you can gain a bunch of NP and do massive damage at the same time.
She came after approximately 42 SQ and 15 tickets. No particular reason, I just want to roll and see if it sticks. It did, so I'm happy. She actually competes with grailed Rama on my Buster team, so it isn't like she's the one SSR Saber my team actually need. Okita or Nero Bride will bring more depth to my lineup, but that's not for me to decide. That's RNGod.
But hey, a waifu. Sorry Rama you're on the bench now.
Thanks, here's hoping. Ideally Melt answers my call early on so I can try harder for Lancer Raikou. We shall see.
Damn that's sick. When a hero joins your Chaldea that easily it means they wanted to be apart of your team haha. Glad it worked out well for you.
