Pretty sure there's about a million of the ceiling of the sistine chapel. I think there was a Futurama or Simpson's episode with one. Same with David.

My favorite though isn't based on fine art, but homages to Conan on his throne are almost always awesome.

I have a mobile theme that is called Oil Painting Cats. I can't actually find proper pics beyond what is on the theme store. The eyes blink, the ears twitch. Tap and it can cycle through a few different oil paintings that have been catified. Comes with icons too but I prefer to keep them to defaults.
