I wasn't insinuating that it was usual. It is not USUAL for a straight woman to grope another. The same way it is not USUAL for straight dudes to suck each other dicks. Does not mean it is impossible to happen.
Hell we just had a news here in brazil that a venezuelan cover of a brazilian model was bitten in the butt by a pig.
It is possible ? yes. Happen a lot ? nope.
The poster was obviously basing his logic on japanese media, which it is EXTREMALY usual for women to touch another women. And for being a classic cliche in japanese media, the models knew the audience was familiar and did something to please the audience, which was why they have been paid for.
would've been hilarious if the context of it wasn't depressing
Do you not watch or enjoy porn?We got a guy with a Cutesexyrobutts avatar arguing about sexualization in video games? Oh lord.
I don't really see what's funny about it. To me the meme just says that you care more about tits then women feelings.
If discussing western hypocrisy on sex vs violence is off limits I'm unclear what else there is to talk about? Someone did a bad, they stopped the stream. end of story?
It's funny how corporate it sounds.
Also I care equally about tits and feelings.
The video game industry has clear isssues with some objectification of women that needs to Ben adressed, but this seems like it's being blown out of proportion.
Don't read the twitter replies if you don't want to lose your faith in humanity. Especially the ones where they demand that Mr Wiz should apologize to the models, and that he should get fired over this. This is the FGC for you.
Thats fair, I guess. Seems like the situation that happened here was dealt with quickly and appropriately which is fairly unusual for the video game community so it seems like things are getting blown out of proportion. If they had just continued allowing this it'd be one thing but it seems like Evo Japan handled things pretty well.I think the point is that's better done in it's own thread. You're welcome to make it if you'd like, but here, it's nothing but a false equivalency being used to derail the conversation of what actually happened.
Yes clearly. By your reduction of women into "tits", it is painfully obvious how much you care.
Isn't that what his tweet as the Head of EVO is doing though? The tricky thing is he doesn't have the right to state what the core values of the overall FGC are - making the call what is morally right/wrong for an entire community. He can only do that for himself and really shouldn't transfer his opinion as that of a wide-ranging community populated by people from different backgrounds.
I think that is the point people are making.
The trailer seems to have been in poor taste for the event. Its Evo's fuck up. Own the fuck up as an organisation.
I'm late but HOLY SHIT the more I read this the creepier it becomes, EVO is not the place for this kind of stuff, save that for, um, YummyPepperoni gaming or something. There was a Team Ninja? dude on stage with 2 gravure models in ripped clothing they kept freeze framing the game and zooming in on the characters boobs and crotches and commenting about it. The Models were also commenting on each other boobs and stuff and poking each others and such. The last freeze frame before the stream was cut was a male character giving a female character a sit-down power bomb and his face clipping into her crotch
The tl;dr on the tweet was : sorry for the content on stream it doesn't represent EVO's core values
It's funny how corporate it sounds.

I assume you're referring to me?We got a guy with a Cutesexyrobutts avatar arguing about sexualization in video games? Oh lord.
So, which of my posts do you take issue with?
A guy who loves hentai and put it as his avatar doesn't see the problem with the KT presentation. I'm not surprised. We got a guy with a Cutesexyrobutts avatar arguing about sexualization in video games? Oh lord.
I never said I didn't see a problem with it XD Did you guys even read what I posted in here?A guy who loves hentai and put it as his avatar doesn't see the problem with the KT presentation. I'm not surprised.

Well, I am a straight dude but I've sucked off another guy's dick before. Of course, the only way to truly know is to ask the gravure models themselves because only they know if they enjoy it.
I never said I didn't see a problem with it XD Did you guys even read what I posted in here?
I agree that money being involved makes it harder to truly know how much they wanted to do it, but I really do feel that consent is the most important thing here. If they were uncomfortable doing it, it's a problem, but if they truly wanted to do that to each other I don't think there is an issue.
Actually, I think you don't have a complete understanding of just how rampant sexism is. Sexism is so prevalent in our society that even if we don't consciously think about it, prejudices are injected throughout the deep subconscious of society.Nope, I can just compartmentalize between lewd/sexual content and what actually matters.
If I stopped to think if every little thing was sexist I wouldn't have a girlfriend right now.
On the other hand if I see an outfit I want my GF to wear and she doesn't want too she doesn't have too. Women aren't objects, their people with thoughts and feelings.
I think women should be allow to do what they want to do. The issue arises if they didn't really want to do it.You don't think there is an issue despite it being streamed globally in front of thousands of people?
I'm trying to say that it's up to the women themselves to do it if they want to, I don't think we should tell someone what they should and shouldn't do if that's what they want to. Of course, it's probably impossibly to know whether they truly want to do it though so I guess it's a moot point.tbf i have no idea what you're attempting to say
. The two people who made attempts to respond to ya got shot down anyways so....
I think women should be allow to do what they want to do. The issue arises if they didn't really want to do it.

I want to avatar shame you but I have no idea where its from so uhh...
And when did I say otherwise? In fact here was one of my earlier posts in the thread:for crying out loud. Just because they're working doesn't mean it isn't problematic.
I'm sure MANY people do work against their personal moral compass becuse they need an income.
Well at least I'll know what kind of person someone is if they use the "Core Values" meme. Only good thing to come out of this.
I want to avatar shame you but I have no idea where its from so uhh...
boooooo!
And when did I say otherwise? In fact here was one of my earlier posts in the thread:
Well, if the girls were doing it consensually and enjoying it, I don't think it's a huge issue. Of course it's much harder to know though because we live in a society/economy that objectifies women and thus forces some to make careers out of doing it, so would they do the same in a different power balance? I don't know.
Sure, whatever you want to believe.
Nope, I can just compartmentalize between lewd/sexual content and what actually matters.

did you... UgLi-ify my avatar just for the sake of that picture?
I do, a lot, enough to recognize that guys avatar. I also realize that sexualization doesn't need to permeate every bit of media I ingest, especially when there's a health community to support that OUTSIDE of the media itself.
We got a guy with a Cutesexyrobutts avatar arguing about sexualization in video games? Oh lord.
Maybe it was the other way around?! >__>did you... UgLi-ify my avatar just for the sake of that picture?
