What are people thoughts on Ni No Kuni 2? I haven't played the original so should I wait for that to be on sale or can I jump straight into 2?

Also which of the Dark Souls do people recommend for someone whose never played a Soulsborne game?

You can jump straight into 2. I liked it especially the base building aspect was fun. It's also is a really pretty game visually.

Regarding Dark Souls just go with the first one.

As the other poster said you can jump straight in with Ni No Kuni 2. I really liked it, gorgeous with some fun base building and character gathering.

As for Dark Souls, start from the first one, it's also fantastic.

Everyone go buy Ace Combat 7

Not much there that interests me but thank you as ever for the list.

I shouldn't buy games at a faster rate I can finish them.

Indeed. I bought Resi 7 and Dying Light (owned the disc version years ago, sold it, fancied playing it again) just yesterday, and now I'm eyeing up Ace Combat 7!

Ace Combat 7 is definitely the highlight in this sale. Already own it though :P

Have you played it though; that's the real question?!

I'm eyeing up Sakura Wars, it doesn't seem to want to drop further than that.

Also eyeing up ChaosChild for £5, i'm not huge into VNs but I did like 428 and Root Letter. Any thoughts on Chaoschild?

Also which of the Dark Souls do people recommend for someone whose never played a Soulsborne game?
That may be irrelevant to your question, but as someone currently playing through the extended series (I've gone Demon's, BB, Sekiro, Dark Souls Remastered and I'm currently playing Dark Souls 2 SOTFS), I feel like BB is harder than DS Remastered but at the same time quite a bit easier to understand.

It's streamlined a lot - however, the gameplay is less forgiving as you can't turtle behind a shield and the opening area is really brutal compared to Dark Souls' (once you figure out where you're supposed to go).

If you want to stick to Dark Souls, I can only vouch for Remastered being a better introduction than SOTFS, but I'd encourage you to read some tips and beginner's guides online, as there is some obscure critical bullshit in all of these games that they don't really care about explaining themselves.

EDIT: I'd like to add that I feel the overall difficulty of those games is overstated, so if you're intimidated by their reputation (as I was), rest assured that you'll reach the end with a bit of perseverance and focus, if you happen to like whichever game you choose.

In european digital version it should be included even now, some resetera members reported that last year:
www.resetera.com

Is there any way to still get Ace Combat 5 on PS4?

I got ace combat 7 on PS4, love it, its great. According to wikipedia, the pre orders came with a PS4 version of Ace Combat 5 from the PS2. It's not on the PS store, and I can't find any download codes for it. I checked the deluxe version on the playstation store too, and it doesn't mention it...
I'm tempted to get the Ace Combat 7 deluxe edition if it includes the AC5, the rest of the DLC seems worthless.
Wonder if I could get it and then ask for a refund if its not included???

No Vita or PS3 games ?
I'd like to try Root Letter but I prefer to play it on Vita and there is no cross-buy for this title...

Tempted to get Ace Combat 7 at that price, is the PSVR implementation good as that's what I'm mainly interested to try? Does this play good with gamepad or Move controllers, or is the flight stick essential for the experience?

Bought Ace Combat 7, never played a game of the series before.

Also, I hope people will get 13 Sentinels, it's really good!

The vibes very early on are worth it - it's practically an unsettling horror game.

It gets absolutely ridiculous later on though. For that price I'd say it's worth checking out, at the very least.

Managed to sell my physical used copy of 13 Sentinels yesterday for £40 and today we see this. Almost as if it's fate.
Still a good game, but don't think it's worth a second play through.

As for me, I'll be getting Danganronpa 3 for £13 though I'm disappointed I missed it for £8 last year!

It's pretty decent actually, though the number of missions are limited. You can't use the move controllers and you don't need a flight stick for it.

Definitely worth experiencing at that price.

Sounds like Root Letter then ha ha. Thanks, I grabbed it. To be frank there are few games I won't try for £5 XD

If anyone is curious about Ace Combat 7: Do it. It's awesome, thrilling, challenging, immersive and pretty unique. We need a sequel!

As someone who is "new" to Playstation, having not owned one since the original, and coming from Xbox, most of these Japanese titles are new to me. Any good recommendations? I am into all genres, particularly RPGs. Thank you!

Judgment does not have a free ps5 upgrade, right?

Not sure if of any help to you, but the game is slightly less less £13 on PSN Indonesia. The PS5 version that is.

Should I buy Kingdom hearts All-in? How long will it take me to finish the whole package?

Anything decent on there story wise (preferably RPG/Adventure and/or VN). I already played the Trails of Cold Steel games, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Catherine FB, MGSV, 13 Sentinels, Sakura Wars, NNKII, Tales o. Berseria, Judgment, Code Vein, Psycho Pass, Danganronpa, AI: TSF and Zero Escape. (Liked pretty much all of those)

Was looking at Tokyo Xanadu, The Caligula Effect, Disgaea 1 Complete and Steins Gate Elite (but i have the og on PS+ for PS3 so i might opt for that if that's the better version?). Any recommendations out of those or other suggestions?

Zero Escape is an absolute must play if you like visual novels/puzzle games (or great narratives in general!)

the games of Vanillaware (13 Sentinels, Odin Sphere) are really special as well, definitely some of the "hidden gems" when it comes to Playstation

Catherine Full Body is also a game I really love but I know that its content can be off putting to some people

those are just a selection but there's plenty of great games in this sale, I'd recommend looking around for a bit but I hope this is helpful in any way!!

I'm thinking of getting the 1.5 + 2.5 bundle, which is only £10. I liked Kingdom Hearts back in the day but remember not liking the second one too much. Although I am curious to revisit them, maybe because I hate myself? I usually hate anime shit nowadays.

50% off for 13 Sentinels. Consider it bought. Time to find out if the praise for it is earned.

Doesnt sound like content wise the PS5 version will be the same, so no, I doubt it'll have cross save.

Honestly, with some of the graphical and content tweaks they are making, it might be worth just going for the PS4 version and playing it on the PS5 (as its finally a solid 30FPS) unless your main interest is playing Judge Eyes in 60FPS (the one positive of the PS5 port) in which case wait for the PS5 version.
Agreed.

Unless they fix it after it comes out I will stick with the PS4 version. I can adjust to 30 fps (though I prefer 60) and the tweaks they are doing are way too big of a deal for me.

i wanted to begin this serie.,,.but the first one and second are not on sales haha

tokyo xanadu is good ? Odin sphere ? 428 ? ( i love vn, persona , dragon quest, ff etc...)
are there any good vn or rpg in sale ?
428 is a fantastic VN. Highly Recomend it.

Tokyo Xanadu is budget Falcom. The dungeons aren't very good but I liked the story and characters a fair bit. I liked it a lot but not sure if you will.

Just watched the Writing On Games review for Ace Combat 7, and I think I will buy it later when I'm on my PS4. The story sounds like overblown melodrama but he says the missions are really interesting and creative.

On a related note, check out this YouTube channel. Really good content and he does interesting analyses of games.

I'm definitely going to buy Ace Combat 7 for that price. Nearly finished 13 Sentinels and I'll probably want something else to chip away at in between replaying Hitman 3 and finally starting Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and £7 is an absolute bargain.

Also, I was really hoping Yakuza 7 was going to get another price drop before the PS5 version released, because there's zero chance I'm going to pay £50 after having to wait months for no good reason. Guess I'll keep waiting.
