Finally! It's so odd to me that there haven't been more frequent updates about the game if it's this close to release. I really hope the re-release is more similar to the Saturn version overall.

We always announced it for all consoles from the very beginning.

I could be wrong, but I don't recall a press release ever going out. Just a tweet with links to the trailer, GOG, and Steam pages, which didn't mention any other platforms. The trailer didn't mention platforms either, and its description only mentioned that you could wishlist it now on GOG or Steam. I've double-checked a few other websites' coverage of the initial announcement as well, and they also only mention PC.

Well I have no idea how this didn't end up in the press release, but it was always intended to be on Switch. This always happens to us though, just assume a game is coming out on consoles unless explicitly stated otherwise I guess. :P

I mean we have a multi-platform engine, and we are doing the publishing, so when combining the two it's always a safe bet.

Leak? I explicitly set the page release date to today. :P

Usually I get Press Releases about these release dates.

Shadowman Remastered was kind of a debacle on the whole simultaneous release front which is I think a big reason why people were unsure about the console release here.

I don't like to make assumptions. =)

Try to throw the available platforms in the trailer description next time. It'd be a big help! =)

(So just to confirm, it's on all consoles, yeah? You said all consoles in your first post, then Switch in your second post, so just wanna make sure.)

Yup, all consoles. Well the PS4 and Xbox One specifically, but that works on next gen too for now so we are focusing on the older SKUs first until we can get a suitable testing environment for next gen.

Understandable, though that should hopefully be a one off. We wanted a simultaneous release for Shadowman but things got messy quick as that game proved to be weirdly complex. We changed our process for Powerslave and actually did the Switch version (and by extension the consoles) tested and certified first rather than last this time round.

Oh good, it's not too far off. Buying this on Steam day one.
Classic FPS in an Egyptian setting with light Metroid elements. Who can say no to that?

I've been holding on to the old Powerslave EX for years now. It'll finally be replaced.

I think it is going to be a mix of everything as is the standard for Nightdive remasters.
The Saturn version had significantly more stuff to find compared to the PlayStation version, though.

By the way, since someone from Nightdive is here, I'm gonna just nonchalantly mention that it'd be interesting if Nightdive resumed its attempt to bring back No One Lives Forever once Microsoft acquires Activision Blizzard, assuming the IP rights are still owned by Activision and Warner Bros. Surely Microsoft would do what it could to facilitate that happening.

Every time I see PowerSlave I confuse it with Slave Zero.

I don't think this Dreamcast classic SHOULD get re-released, but I'd probably buy it on Switch.

Getting it on xbox for sure. Nightdive is one of my favorite studios. I will forever be grateful for being able to play Turok 1 and 2 on modern platforms

One of my favourite games of all time, I was one of the madmen who managed to get all the Developer dolls and brave the laser maze, and I'd do it all again.

Oh hell yes!

Nightdive continues to be the GOAT. Shadowman (still haven't been released in my region but soon it will come) and now this!

Powerslave is why I went to work at Lobotomy. It was Metroid Prime long before Metroid Prime.

I wonder if this remaster will have Death Tank.

Yes! I followed a guide in a Saturn magazine to find all the team dolls. The lasers made me twitch, the noise it made when you hit one.....shudder.

Exhumed is seared into my brain as one of my defining gaming moments. I bought it on a whim for the Saturn, moved the console and the 14inch TV from the spare room downstairs up to my bedroom, put it on a chair at the end of my bed and settled in. Ended up playing most of the night - the atmosphere! The music! The sound effects! Just fantastic. I think it was one of the first 'Metroidvania' type games I'd ever experienced where areas become accessible through new abilities and items.

To anyone who still doesn't get the hype.

Exhumed is one of the best FPS games of all time. OF ALL TIME.

It did a bunch of things in the mid-90s for FPS games that we only started taking for granted later on, like having a world map and revisiting levels instead of clearing them one in a row, upgrading your character with new abilities, solving level puzzles etc.

It's up there with the Hexen series for me.
