I imagine most of my true all-time favorites are going to be covered by other users (e.g. Pulp Fiction, Goodfelllas, The Godfather, etc.).

I want to give a special shoutout to "A Silent Voice" though. I swear to Christ I tears in my eyes for about 95% of that movie. It resonated deeply with me and I thought its take on self-forgiveness was brilliant.

With that being said, I don't think I could emotionally handle watching it again for another 10 years.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

It's just perfect in every way. When Tuco's brother moralizes at him and Tuco launches into an impassioned soliloquy about the life he's lead and how it's broken him down, that one pathetic little slap leading into Tuco laying his brother out with a single punch while Blondie silently watches, only for him to just go along with it when Tuco tries to play it off like nothing happened. God damn, I can't get enough.

"You think you're better than I am? Where we come from if one didn't want to die of poverty they became a priest or a bandit. You chose your way, I chose mine; mine was harder. You talk of mother and father, do you remember when you left to become a priest? I stayed. I must have been 10 or 12 but I stayed. I tried but it was no good! Now let me tell you something. You became a priest because you were too much of a coward to do what I do!"

1 - Lawrence of Arabia
2 - LoTR (the trilogy, kinda one movie, come on)
3 - Apocalypse Now
4 - Aviator
5 - Gladiator
After that, there's just a mob of about 10 awesome movies that would fall in no particular order from a bevy of genres.

All at the top of my head.
I think only the first three are in order.

As a fan of tear-jerkers, I loved this one too! Your Name got the attention A Silent Voice deserved.

Every time I think that maybe I'm 'over' Mulholland Drive, I watch it and realize... Nope. I still love it. I even made a Wham music video for it based on a friend's idea lol.

Also... I love Ghost World. And Rashomon, and... Gravity, and...

I feel pretty good about this right now but there are about a dozen other movies I could sub in depending on my mood on any given day, e.g. The Long Goodbye, Blow Out, The Conversation, Fury Road...

Great taste! Quite a few of those are on my ever-ballooning plan-to-watch list... I'm in a 1930s sort of mood so I think I'll check out L'Atlante later this evening.

The real life Air Buddy, aka the Michael Jordan of dogs, sadly died after the first movie.
So in a way, they are all fake.
But in another, more important way, they are all real and they are my friends.

I always have such a hard time deciding my favorite flick. I seem to lean towards Curse of the Black Pearl, but I don't watch it much due to feeling somewhat obligated to watching the mediocre sequels afterwards.

Never heard of these.

And they made 14 of them? Damn.
It all started because some producer went to an NBA game and saw that dog doing a halftime show and was "Ain't no rule says I can't make a movie with this dog".
And the rest as they say, is history.

p.s.
Introducing, the United States women's national soccer team as themselves.
