I can appreciate that there's an art to it, but a vast majority of it seems to involve minors so I'm generally not really interested.

I tried watching hentai as a teen but even then I couldn't get over the awful animation.
I look at individual art, but rarely. I only look at porn once or twice a week ever since I've been in a relationship and I prefer real people over drawings. Plus, in hentai a lot of of the sex is very blatantly shown as rape. It's the difference between vanilla live action porn where the plot is "oh no, I only got a 69 on my test, is there any way you could give me a higher grade, ms?" vs a lot of hentai where the plot seems to be a teacher locking the door and raping their student while they scream.

yeah her joining in was not something i had expected... but i guess i should have seen it cumming. it can be really hard to navigate around all of that shit and its extra worse when its happening in a running series. the first one will forever be the best anyways!
Yes, but I'm picky about what I read/watch. Most animated stuff is trash tier but once in a blue moon something decent comes out. I try not to read anything too degenerate, but I'm mostly desensitized to some of the...darker stuff, but some shit is just gross beyond belief and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. (i.e: loli, snuff, gore, ect.)
I'm just a big fan of NSFW art in general. Lots of absolutely FANTASTIC artists draw porn and honestly I recommenced people who love art to actually go out of their way to find and appreciate some NSFW art. You'd be surprised just how well some know human anatomy better than most non-NSFW artists.

Not really, i don't have a problem with others enjoying it, but it doesn't really do it for me. The only drawn pornographic material I regurally consume is Oglaf and that's more of a comedy that features dicks. I also make an effort to check out all of Masume Shirow's and Boichi's hentai. Shirow because I still find it hilarious in context of his career and Boichi because goddamn that dude can draw

Not typically. Veers too far into things that disturb me, and trying to sort the wheat from the chaff is an exercise in sickness.
I keep seeing this statement being repeated in this thread, but do you have any numbers to back it up, because I check and it is nowhere near the majority that you think it is. It doesn't even make the top ten tags. Searching rape leads to 29,676 results, but when you exclude the tag altogether it leads to 233,359 non-rape results. I think people are just skipping tags and are just picking the doujins with the best art, because otherwise they can ignore it when searching hentai works.
I like anime girls and waifus, but most hentai feels... Weird.
Edit: One of the worst things is Japanese voice actors. The women ALWAYS use this horribly squeaky voice that sounds like a hamster being killed, and always come across as ultra submissive. Puffin don't roll that way baby.

You do understand how modern porn sites in general work right? Theres tags associated with whatever content its shown (real, animated or drawn) and most sites always have options to either filter results to show only the things you want and exclude whatever you dislike. Theres no need to "sort the wheat from the chaff", this isnt 2005 anymore.
