I missed the final shot on the final boss in I Wanna Be The Guy by 1 pixel and I tell everyone I beat it :(

Used cheat engine to finish the final fishing challenge on Sora the Third. I tried a lot of times before, but RNG always destroyed me.

I realized a few days ago I could play as the party members in DQ11 after damn near 20 hours of gameplay

I choose all of my purchases very carefully so I have nothing embarrassing in that regard.

I will say that I've played Rainbow Six Siege for 2ķ hours since Day 1 and I'm just barely getting into Plat 2 consistently.

Siege is definitely the hardest game I've ever played.

Broken controllers, walls and an expensive lamp because I could not control my temper in COD.

I played assassins creed odyssey for about 50 hours before I realized I could call the horse.

I was so mad at my brother (I think because he was supposed to mow the lawn but he didn't so I had to do it) I asked him to come watch me beat the boss in Phantasy Star 2. He agreed, what he didn't know is that I erased all the save data in the game (I didn't need mine because I beat the game already, he still needed his data because he didn't yet) to get back at him. I claimed since all the data was erased, not just his, there was was something wrong with the cartridge.

He figured out that was BS pretty quickly.

I beat Demon's Souls.

I beat Bloodborne.

I quit Sekiro at the last boss.

This is me as well. But not my biggest shame. The last boss removed all the fun I'd been having up to that point.

My biggest shame is that I spent actual money to rent BMXXX and The Guy Game followed up by downloading Sexy Beach in my early 20s.

You know what, my biggest gaming shame might be when I accidentally overwrote a friend's friend's smash bros melee save file (i was faffing with freeloader using my EU games on their US hardware) he was really chill about it too but i felt terrible because every bro put like 100+ hours into that game back in the day. I never saw that group of people again and probably never will (not because of that, lol) but if you're out there, some guy in Ohio, you were really nice to me and I hope your life is good.

There was a game called LHX attack chopper for the mega drive. It was kind of a sim game and it gave you the option to use two controllers to map all the flight controls. I would set up two chairs, one behind the other for those realistic feels. Then I would insist my friend would sit in the rear seat with absolutely no view of the TV and shout commands for him to push for hours on end because I thought I was fucking Jan Micheal Vincent. Poor guy.

He stopped coming round.

I have finished more sonic games than Mario ones.
Sonic games I've finished:

Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic 1 Master System
Sonic CD
Sonic Spinball
Sonic 3D
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Heroes
Sonic 06
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic Unleashed Wii
Sonic Advance
Sonic Advance 3
Sonic Rush
Sonic Rush Adventure
Sonic Colours
Sonic Colours DS
Sonic Generations
Sonic Lost World
Sonic Forces
Sonic 4 Episode 1
Sonic Mania

Mario games I've finished:

SMB3
Super Mario World
Super Mario 64
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Mario 3D Land
Super Mario 3D World
Super Mario Odyssey
New Super Mario Bros
New Super Mario Bros Wii
New Super Mario Bros U

Like, it isn't even close. Sonic is literally the franchise I've finished the most games in by far. And I see no reason to be embarrassed about that.

I'm not satisfied with completing a game if I know I permanently missed a collectible or screwed up my stats or other related things. I've restarted games at 20+ hours in because of this.
Oh god, that nearly ruined Okamiden for me.
I was so careful and missed one friggin item at a point, you cannot return to. I was so mad when I learned about that and nearly started over. I actually never finished it, cause I lost interest during the boss rush in the end. Maybe I'll start over one day and get all the things...

I can't play classic Megaman for shit. Give me Castlevania no problem, but I just can't with Megaman. Only one I've ever beaten is 2 on the easy difficulty.

I actually bought a number of limited editions.

I bought the halo 3 Spartan helmet edition thinking it'd be an investment.

I've bought RE6 3 separate times and hated it all 3 times.

Ouch! Yeah, sometimes I can push through and ignore it, but most of the time my brain just can't let go of that one missing thing. It's a constant reminder that I screwed up permanently lol.

I haven't beaten Rondo of Blood despite its reputation as being one of the easier Castlevanias. I always give up on Shaft's ghost.

I played the 360 a few times... 😖

I was disloyal for a minute, wasn't worth it.

Lol thats funny. I remember I had a friend who was mad at me for buying a PS3 in 2008. Was like fuck off, I want MGS4. Would never consider being loyal to any company. They all just want my money, and it's on me if I don't make them earn it.

I got real embarrassed playing FF13. Specifically the noises Vanille would make during battle. I had to close the windows because it must've sounded like I was watching hours upon hours of porn.

I liked ME3 ending at first (most likely due to the music), until a few hours later where it dawns on me what the implication were.

My first pervert internet search back during dial up era was Tomb Raider nude mode.

I used to ask for games that were also-rans in genres just because no one had opinions on them. So for instance Tony Hawk Pro Skater, I had 2 on computer much later, but on Dreamcast I got MTV Sports Skateboard featuring Andy Macdonald. Same with super shitty sports games.

Also the officially licensed Futurama game on the original xbox. I was such a fan of the show and wanted to play it so bad, but it was so terrible I actually had to activate a god mode cheat just to beat it. I kept getting lost and stuck because of the god awful camera.

In Dance Central, there's an Achievement for dancing with another person in the freestyle sections. I was mostly playing the game on my own, so I waggled a chair in front of the Kinect to fool it into thinking I had a friend. I, a grown woman, danced with a chair for Cheevs. :(

I was once playing SO badly in a Halo 3 match that I started running into a wall and behaving erratically to fool people into thinking I was suffering from lag instead of, uh, just being shit...

I have destroyed a keyboard and multiple 360 gamepads playing FIFA online, thanks to untreated anger management issues.
Thankfully, those days are behind me (the anger as well as playing FIFA).

I mean, I don't blame you for wanting a little taste of the blue for MGS4, aka The best game in the series and of 2008.

I got the 360 for GTA4 dlc. I got them, but I ended up not playing them and waiting until they released on PS3 😅.. I give the xbox away after three months 😂

Dude, MGS4 was completely worth it. It is batshit insane and wonderful. MGS2 ended up being my favorite, but 4 will always have a soft spot for me. Not to mention the following year had Killzone 2, Demon Souls, and Uncharted 2 as exclusives. To me, that was the turning of the tide that fed into this generation. Thats where Xbox lost the plot if you ask me. 2009-2010. They are slowly earning traction through BC, Gamepass, and rebuilding 1st party. Time will tell if that will be enough.

Despite my username, I'd consider myself pretty bad at God Hand. I've never beaten the game on a difficulty above Easy...I'm not super embarrassed about it, though, because that game is still hard as hell.

Never beat a single Mega Man Battle Network game. Got close to the end of BN2. Reached the end boss of Network Transmission (still a heavily underrated game). Never pulled the trigger on either. A shame.

Also, 70+ hours of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 without actually beating it. Those damn side quests.

Super Mario World was the first game that I bought back in 1994. Yesterday I bought an SNES classic and only now discovered that you can move the camera pressing L or R (In my defense I didnt speak a slick of english back in 1994)

I have massive breaks from FFXIV because I think I'm terrible at the game and will bring everyone else down when I get to grouped content :(

Nearly six years and I'm just partway into Heavensward /o\ I really wanted to be ready for Shadowbringers, but my anxiety won't let me.

Back in 2000, I asked my parents to buy Mort the Chicken for the PSX. And they got it for me on Christmas.

8lagqZN.jpg

I remember enjoying it. Don't recall why, though. I'm watching a walkthrough now and the main villian is a cube

EDIT: The player beat it in an hour. And they easily beat the last two bosses, which take a whopping two minutes to kill.

After the final stretch, the giant evil cube nopes out by saying "whoops, this was all a false alarm" and the credits roll.

I guess it was cool to play as a chicken and fight placeholder assets. Looking back, my interest in strange stuff started with this game. So for that I give it four clucks out of five

I traded donkey kong country on snes for shaq fu. I was told it was a better game than street fighter 2 and had monsters in it.

In the end I did get my dad involved to force a trade back lol.

I used to argue about Mega Man lore on Mega Man forums and got into the 10ks of posts

I once overwrote my housemates FFX endgame file when we were both playing it at the same time 😩

Back in the day I thought the Virtual Boy was Nintendo's successor to the SNES, so I sold my beloved SNES with an insane number of incredible games and three controllers AND the Super Scope 6 to get a VB.

After a while, I had amassed a library of the most worthwhile VB titles...and then one day decided I needed to trade it all away for an Atari Jaguar with...and here's the cringe-inducing kicker...Dragon The Bruce Lee Story video game. I had somehow got it in my head that I needed the Jaguar for the Alien vs Predator game that was released for it...a game which I never found.

I ended up trading that piece of shit to my brother for a Sega Genesis and NHL.

Probably the most inane series of decisions I've ever made in my life relating to material possessions.

Like...fack! Someone invent a time machine so I can go back in time and slap the shit out of my younger self.
We have a winner

Final Fantasy III on DS: The Crystal Tower dungeon wore me out so much that I couldn't beat the final boss. I stopped playing and have convinced myself I beat the game.

I desperately want the multiplayer modes to come back for Asssassin's Creed.

Play a dps class and just have fun. Don't worry about your progress in story based dungeons and raids. People understand. You can always look on YouTube for a quick mechanics guide for any fight.

I got Yoshis Island and Yoshi's Safari confused as a kid so my mom bought me Safari. Safari requires the Super Scope which i didn't have and we couldn't find anywhere... so to this day I still haven't played either game

The only Zelda game I have played from start to finish is Breath of the Wild and the only Mario game is Odyssey.

I've always been very interested in the Resident Evil games but was always too much of a scaredy cat to start one till earlier this year when I was like fuck it and beat REmake followed make REmake 2. Big fan now and planning to start RE4 soon while I wait for REmake 3.

The only MGS I have played is the first one and that too in 2016 on the PS3 collection.

I have not played a single Castlevania, Mega Man, Metroid, Half Life or Halo game from start to finish.

I started Earthbound at least 5 times and wound up dumping it about 2 hours in for some reason or the other.

I SUCK at platformers because I get extremely impatient and start missing obvious jumps and stuff, which then leads to me spiralling till I just dump them altogether.

I blame most of the above on the sheer amount of time I spent on playing Dota, WoW, LoL and Diablo 2 and 3. I still play these games to this day, but not all the time, so I've started making my way through my hilariously large backlog slowly and gradually.
