The movies? I have to see those then. I loved the first anime, the more modern one not so much at all though.
I wouldn't get your hopes up. They're okay at best (pacing is abysmal, flop between traditional and CG animation rapidly) >.<
For sure, I can't see this game skipping multiplayer.I think it's pretty likely we'll get a playable network test for Elden Ring next year, like DS2, DS3, Bloodborne. Fromsoft usually does these for their ARPG's.
I really like that you posted these select a character screens. I mentioned before that I hope FROM handles starting classes better in ER. Give them a unique ability or different starting zone, anything. Not just different allocation of starting stats.
I also feel like this time the initial choice of the character will have some sort of race-selection with unique traits. That would comply very well with the "strong RPG aspects" Miyazaki-san mentioned in the E3 ER interview.
Oh I dont think anybody on here was holding on for a Q1 release after the no-show at gamescom and tgs
Q1 means not only competing with some of the biggest titles this gen that have been hyped for years, but also having a really short promo cycle (3-4 months after the now more than likely reveal at VGA)
Even if they wanted to simply ride off their big fanbase and release it that early, we must not forget that this is a new IP and they more than likely will want to take their time showing it off and having people warm up to it. This is supposed to be their biggest game. They dont want to mess it up with the promo cycle.
I also think the game is just not ready to be shown yet, I dont really believe bamco was holding it back to give code vein some time to breathe.
It only makes sense that elden ring would require a longer than usual dev cycle from them.
