Is that bad?Holy Jill Sandwich, Huber gave Resident Evil 3!!three and a half stars
The horror! What a flop. Crapcom is back!
I think I was right in thinking that Ori 2 is a safer bet than FF7 Remake for my fantasy league, even if FF7 does get stellar reviews. Developers tempt fate when remaking a beloved classic because the remake will inevitably be compared to people's rose-tinted memories of a game rather than what the game actually was.Curious now as to what Huber and Blood were discussing about the score (from Blood's comments after the podcast on Thursday night). Wondering if Huber had it lower or higher initially.
Also, this has me suddenly really worried FFVIIR will also not be met with superb reviews. I've always been fine with the possibility of that happening, but it's becoming more real now. RE3 should've been a slam dunk.
Do we know if anyone has review copies yet? I have to imagine they do since normies are getting them.
huh? it says 8.5, unless i'm missing a jokeHoly Jill Sandwich, Huber gave Resident Evil 3!!three and a half stars
I'm guessing it's a reference to the Ratchet and Clank controversy from year one? That's the only thing I could figure.
I've been bamboozled!
This was always the impression I got, from someone who'd only ever dabbled in RE games until 4 (hate fixed camera/tank controls, sorry Huber). First game is a classic, two is a masterpiece and three is just a good game. I think a lot of people hoped the remake would make it better? Honestly for me, seeing how much more action-focused this game is, it feels like it's right up my alley, even with the Nemesis nonsense that initially put me off.Haven't looked at reviews or anything. But I always found RE3 the weakest numbered RE up to 6. Mostly on level design but also other aspects. Granted I don't play the game in more than a decade and the remake is supposed to shake things up a bit. Also being a weak numbered RE still meant it was a good game at the time

8.5 seems like a good score to me? Knowing Huber's love for the series it sounds in line with what I'm expecting. 9's are reserved for classics for me.
0?
Kyle said he would be. Can't speak for Brad.I hope kyle or brad will be on discord or something with huber for this shenmue 3 stream

DO we know if EZA got a FF7 review copy, I assume Brad is reviewing it?
Ohhhhh haven't seen that one yet :)
if this is some sort of april fools joke i'm unsubbing.Anyone else see the Mysterious Video premiere they have up on YouTube? Wonder what's happening!
Enjoyed these impressions. Hope the do something similar for other games in the future!
Random prediction: It's Mysterious Monsters bonus April Fool's episode with someone other than Huber hosting and with him as a contestant. Same switcheroo as they did in Gametrailers.Anyone else see the Mysterious Video premiere they have up on YouTube? Wonder what's happening!
The mere suggestion that there COULD be any outtakes makes me want them more than ever.I thought it was gonna be MM outtakes, but we got something possibly more creative.
Generally if anything is hilarious we leave it in the episode, but Ian does the editing. I wonder if there's much on the cutting room floor...The mere suggestion that there COULD be any outtakes makes me want them more than ever.
Fair point. There's a lot of charm to the show because it doesn't feel heavily edited, so I suspect the best bits stay in.Generally if anything is hilarious we leave it in the episode, but Ian does the editing. I wonder if there's much on the cutting room floor...
Also: would LOVE it if they released (assuming they're still available) the full Prison of Love playthroughs. Would love to watch those as well.

Patreon is currently half-way through charges. Numbers will fluctuate for several days before everything is in a "stable" comparable position.
