They have Battlefront 3 and Jedi both coming out so it makes perfect sense.
don't know, because of the fallout fiasco. Maybe they'll have some PR remedy for this conference (even though, if I remember correctly, only fallout and the prey extension - presented in the event - were released so far)MAYBE Bethesda will be ok, but I can totally see them bouncing as well.
So, they're still going to have a "show" at E3; just in a tighter, video-only, Inside Xbox/Nintendo Direct kinda format. Sounds like a good change. We're skipping the press conference this year and are replacing it with multiple live streams that will air during the first two days of the event, bringing you more of what you've told us you want - more gameplay and insights from the teams making the games.
"Good", "thank god"...weird ass comments in here. Has EA been holding guns to people's heads making them watch their past conferences?
I'm pretty sure that game is coming out this year or maybe they're taking a break. DICE for better or worse develops in two year intervals so 2015 was SWBF1 than BF1 than SWBF2 and than BFV.
Honestly it might be time for E3 to change to a fan-only event, or die entirely. The internet has changed everything and waiting until June to fight for attention against the entire industry isn't a good move anymore.
EA could drop an announcement for a great game on a random Tuesday and they'd get more attention than they'd get at E3.
"Accurate" in what way exactly? What value is being added here by saying "Good" and thank god to something you don't even have to watch? PC Gaming show adds nothing to E3 for me for example. No reason I'd be happy if they decide to skip. Like you said, it's childish. Let's improve the discourse on this forum. Not really. But were they adding any value to the E3? I get those comments are childish, but very accurate.
would say a cheaper alternative instead of a good change, but I can see your point....tighter events are usually better and easier to watch (you can place a 5 min reveal as an paid advertisement at Youtube, but not a 60 min stream)
It's just a press conference and people didn't like their conferences for years. Not sure why you're so bothered by people commenting on it. It has nothing to do with the conference itself or who's doing it. Replace the thread with "Square Enix" or "Bethesda" or anybody and the principle is the same. I'd love for the discourse on here to improve. Commenting on previous conferences, making a point that you'd like improvements and changes, things you'd like to see different is far better and something encouraged than devolving into reveling in something you don't even have to watch. Isn't that obvious? It's just a press conference and people didn't like their conferences for years. Not sure why you're so bothered by people commenting on it. They've been bad year after year.
I honestly think Sony bouncing is the start of a domino effect.

Ubisoft: Am i a joke to you?
Hopefully we will have one last big E3 next year if both the PS5 and Xbone2 are announced by early 2020.
Man I can't wait for the PlayStation Meeting or PSX.
Hopefully we get to see that unannounced PS4 game around E3 time via blog post or Sony direct
