EA Access coming to PS4 this July ($4.99/mo, $29.99/year)

So, basically this means, one can get to play the new FIFA's (among other things) for just 30€/$ a year? Sweet deal.
Origin Access on PC and EA Access on Xbox One are separate, so I'd expect this PS4 one to be separate too.
No. I too hold the exact same values today as I did 4 years ago to avoid ridicule.
I'm stacked up on EA Access until 2021 - I think the service is great, especially when you grab a 12 month sub for £14.99. The cost per month ends up being so low that I'm guaranteed to get enough value out of it over the year to justify it.

No. The sports games usually come at a ~7-9 month delay. You will get the 1 year old FIFA game.
Their statement was stupid back then. They were deciding for their customers even though those same customers wanted that service.
Not on day 1, months after it has been released. Think the newest FIFA hasn't even been added to the vault.
Ah, makes sense I suppose. Those are some juggernauts in terms of sales. What about other stuff? Like, for example, Anthem? Did it come right away or with a small-ish delay?
Anthem is not on the service. It's unknown when it will be added. Can take longer than sports games because it's not an annual franchise.
It's within the realm of possibity that thd PS5 will have full BC with the PS3 as well, so that would bring it to parity with the Xbox offering.
Not really. The newest FIFA will have a 10 hour trial then won't hit the vault where you can play the full title for close to a year.
The only games that interest me right now are Anthem and FIFA 19 and they both are trial only so... I'm not sure if I'll subscribe right away.

Except there's a glitch and you can have unlimited time, at least with FIFA. And EA never cared to fix it on Xbox last year.
Neat. It's a good value especially with some of the amazing last-gen games in the Vault. Sadly EA's current gen output hasn't been as special.
Generally:
A few days before launch you get a 10 hour trial, rarely they lock certain modes like the full single player during the trial.
Around 9 months to a year after launch you can play the full game without any time or content restrictions
It would be nice if TF2 got a small boost in activity because of this. I'd probably try it out for month just to touch a bunch of games I usually wouldn't bother with.

Consoles get all the perks that PC gets for Origin Access Basic and the service is the same price as Basic. You are probably thinking of Premier, which is more expensive and not on consoles.
Hype, there's at least more than one game I'm interested in playing so this is pretty much a win for me.
With the amount of promotions EA did with FIFA this year, i wonder if they crack a billion dollars in revenue from it alone.
EA games don't come to EA Access day 1. Fallen Order won't reach the service until at least mid-2020.
Hmmm, I see. Well I suppose I'll have to look into how many EA games I buy (in general) to see whether or not it's worth it for me. I buy FIFA ( though not annually, like every 2-3 years), I buy the odd Battlefield once in a blue moon and maybe a couple of smaller games too. From the top of my mind I'm not sure I buy much else that is made/published by EA (at least, consistently I mean). Still, even if I just end up playing one or two games from their Vault, per year, with the low value of the subscription it's still probably worth it in the long run.
There's Origin Access Basic that's 5$ a month and that is the same as EA Access, then there's Origin Access Premier that's 15$ a month and that has all EA games on Day 1 and there's no console equivalent to that.
