Seeing Tony Hawk even named by EA would be damn crazy. The Tony Hawk franchise was their biggest rival in the sports genre BY FAR.Wow, you'd think they are at least remotely interested in anything SKATE related. Though I wonder if they maybe dropped SKATE so they can enter a partnership with Tony Hawk? Activision doesn't have the THPS license anymore, so... one can dream, right?
And it's coming to Xbox too. Looks awesome! For all you PC gamers, I direct you to: Session
Session: Skate Sim on Steam
Made by and for skaters, the dual stick controls faithfully reproduce your feet on the skateboard for an ultra-realistic experience. Try out real-life iconic skate spots, customise your skater and equipment with items from the top brands...store.steampowered.com
It takes a while to get the controls down, but it's all about spending hours finding the right line. It's still in Early Access, but it's a lot of fun.

Welp wrap this thread up, because it looks like they never actually lost it.To clarify my previous post, to my layman's eyes the trademark that was abandoned was specifically for digital downloads, not the overall Skate video game product.

Hey I'm just the messenger, ask VG247!Indeed, EA retains two trademarks for Skate for entertainment products. There is no story here. Was there any due diligence on this piece before it went to print? Maybe do a search on USPTO for Skate marks?
Thank you for bringing the hope back :)
