It's still true, but the actual end result did turn out less ambitious.Posted this in December which now seems completely wrong based on impressions/reviews
Visual novel of RE1. I get to make Jill, and Wesker an item.
Is 2021 the new Chris appearance or something else(or sooner/later)It's still true, but the actual end result did turn out less ambitious.
Yup, Capcom finally realising how to capitalise on their thirsty audience.
Honestly kinda wanted it for years,
open world half action/half survival RE that has a multiplayer component?
I understand being worried about the quality of the games potentially taking a hit. But you can always play them a year or two later.I'm worried about RE fatigue. We got RE7 in 2017, RE2 in 2019, RE3 in 2020 and then one next year and another the year after. That's 5 RE games in 6 years. That's a lot.
Oh no I'm not talking about the quality of the games. I'm fully confident that the quality of these games will be amazing. It's 2-3 teams working on these games. I was referring to the consumers/fans. I would hate to see a decline in sales due to fatigue of the franchise. I'm not really a RE fan to be honest, of Capcom's staple of IP it's probably my least favorite.I understand being worried about the quality of the games potentially taking a hit. I'd be excited. I've been using quarantine time to sketch out a design doc for what I'd love to see in a GaaS RE game, just for kicks.open world half action/half survival RE that has a multiplayer component?
So what were the gaming trends in late 2016 that the game might be inspired by?

The franchise has been like that from the start pretty much. The series is 24 years old and there's about the same number of games.I'm worried about RE fatigue. Oh damn, I never realized that. Ok then, let it rock. If they selling well then lets go!!!I'm very much ok with having one game of the series every year, I actually look forward to it.
It's not like this is a 50 hour RPG or something like Assassin's Creed. It's just a 6-10 hour horror adventure. 6-10 hours of Resident Evil a year won't cause fatigue. Especially if it keeps the quality as good as the last three.
