New to April Fools? More elaborate stuff has been done before.
It could've been a proof of concept that was never greenlit. This happens a lot in all entertainment industries.
I'm not saying it's impossible or anything. But it does look amazing, the quality of the drawing i meant, way better than things like Skullgirls or Monster Boy. I'm calling it fake exactly because of that :P

There are a lot of tells in the images that they are at the very least not a real running video game yet. I suppose they could be concept art for a game they're really making.

I think the first two Mickey games were more iconic in the MD library. I love QS more tho.

What is it with most April Fool's jokes being somewhat mean spirited and totally TONE DEAF. Platinum's was super tone deaf. The world doesn't need false hopes thrown at it right now.
I hate this because this'd be one of my dream games. Sadly pretty sure those screenshots are mock-ups since the perspective on those 2D backgrounds wouldn't make sense anymore if the camera scrolled to the right or left.

If it's a joke, is a terrible one. DuckTales is a beloved staple of many people's childhood, and those screens look absolutely lovely. Joking with such a thing when people are already disheartened as hell is kind of ... cruel? April 1st is shit, now more than ever.
Let's at least take some time to appreciate the original and it's OST whilst we're waiting on whether or not to be very very disappointed with FDG.
