I've finally bought it today. Can anyone link me a list of recommendation so I can check 'em out? Thanks.

Quick question:
I made a block and embedded a microchip/camera bundle grouped in it, right? The tutorial I'm following then said make it invisible, but I can't seem to select it any more and I can only even see it (occasionally) when selecting the microchip.
How do select or see invisible objects?
located in the view options (eye icon) there are several display options. turn off "preview invisibility" to see your cube again. also helpful is "x-ray" vision which lets you see all your microchips even if they are on hidden objects

Marc and Alex said it on separate occasions. It was originally the other way around but since Alex is handling mp it'll be awhile. Unless we want lbp level of mp.have they said this or is it just hope :)
It'd be good now its released to have at least a roadmap or other updates on new features in a monthly update from Mm. Might help keep people engaged, re-engage those that fall off, and bring in new players (eg if VR is exciting for them, or they're waiting on Multiplayer)

should be next tuesdayWhen does the Monster jam end? I finally started on something I'd had in mind for a while last night, and I think it actually works for this jam...
How do I check how many hours I've put into the game again? I can't find it in my profile.
Thanks!
i think it does because i know for sure i didn't spend that many hours in playI see the total in the profile. Any idea if that is actual hours spent in the Dreams software (playing and creating), or just number of hours spent playing people's (and your own) created dreams? I only ask because mine says 50 hours...and I feel I've spent at least twice that just creating.
Edit: Eh, I think I've answered my own question. Thinking back, I've spent multiple nights going 5-hours straight creating and tons more with 2 or 3 hour nights. This can't include creation time.

Bought it on a whim.
I have zero artistic ability and game design knowledge.
What could go wrong?
I know this was ages ago, but I thought I'd give an update on what I've been able to do.I'm pretty much the same (a writer/creative, but no artistic ability).
Please keep me posted on your experiences with this. I'm very curious about it but have always found in-game tools for building/creating stuff to be cumbersome and ridiculously time consuming.
How do I emit to a non fixed position? Like, I have an object that moves in a straight line and I want it to spawn another object when I press X. I can't figure how to get it to spawn anywhere other than where it's placed in edit mode.
What is the best way to organise logic that will be re-used (for instance lock on aiming logic for enemies)
Currently in my gun microchip I have a 'look at rotator' aiming at the enemy tag which is triggered by a cone shaped 'trigger zone' stuck to the front of my mech. This means if an enemy is in my cone of visions it will turn on the enemy tag which makes my bullet emitters target the enemy. But this means I have to manually wire up my mechs guns to all the enemies I intend to make. Which doesn't seem very efficient?
When I'm in proximity of an enemy the "look at rotators" are conflicting. My theory was that I could somehow make it so when an enemy tag is seen, it disables the "front facing" tag or the rotator driving it. But I have no idea how to do that? Any help?
Is the emitter attached to the moving object? Either attach the emitter directly or place it in a chip attached to the object and it should emit from wherever the object is.How do I emit to a non fixed position? I haven't really had a lot of time to dive deep into Dreams sadly what with moving into a new house and work and new kittens to help look after. However, I did have a go at recreating the cat tree we bought and I put together for them as my first mini-project. It's pretty rough and I could probably make it a lot better if I wanted to put more time into it, but I'm fairly happy with how it turned out.
Unfortunately, I somehow managed to set it as a scene rather than an element. Don't know how I did that, but never mind.
