After a little Christmas break for myself after launching Project Enterprise on December 21, I'm back to playing Dreams and updating this thread... with two posts in two days :D
Best of Dreams W/E - 20/12/2020 (Ladylex UK)
Playthrough starts at 17:45 min
Many people released their projects before some expected downtime on Christmas. The week ending 20/12 had some really neat and varied stuff.
Heavy MetEvil instantly reminded me of Brutal Legend as it combines stylish combat and artstyle with heavy metal music beats and instrument playing!
The Babysitter lets you take over an au-pair job that doesn't quite go to plan, with a psycho stalking you.
REVELATION lets you assign the role of a space soldier who investigates the cause of a terrible accident on a planet surface.
Casinos de wayra is an absolutely breathtaking walking simulator that for me neatly combines some South American indigenous society-styled architecture with alien-themed scenery. I'd rate
A Prisoner's Cinema in a very similair vein. In this game, you have to escape a prison in a beautifully lighted neogothic architecture styled castle environment. If you're in for a chill but very well designed collectable platformer, play
My Treasure Hunt: Mario Style (but just referring to the gameplay here).
City Simulator 2 continues the strengths the first game already had. In
Last Man, you experience strange happenings in the life of the protagonist after an airplane crash. This week also once more has these fun neat little Dreams that are just a lot of fun: In
I Autty Be Careful your only task is to slide down some stairs and not hit the obstac.... dogs! But it's so addictive to try to get the high score. The same creator has also remade his previously popular
Martians Cows where you have to simply get as many cows as possible up to your UFO. It's so silly - I love it. There's also more snowball fights in
Snow Day to be had, just like last week. If you want to experience a boardgame classic on Dreams, try
LOGIK. I also want to specifically mention
Bubble Burster just for its AWESOME title screen - genius! You're literally just bursting as many bubbles as possible, but it's quite cool!
RED RED RED is a short homage to Super Meat Boy and will hopefully be expanded upon. Quite a lot of Christmas-themed stuff in the collection as well, starting from collecting lost christmas presents in many variants such as in
The Guardian Maru, but also including the community-event Dreamers
Holiday Village ranging to a very cool interactive Dream named
Decorate Your Christmas Tree.
Some great set design in
Industrial Sci-Fi City (inspired from Cyberpunk) and neat creativity in place with stuff like
Anatomy of an Radio in that particular week as well. And please watch
HUG, please do, so cute! I already covered the amazing Cyber Trigger, Santa Dash 2 and Good Dog in my previous post, which Ladylex also featured.

Dreams Best Creations (Ugly Sofa Gaming)
Our friend and fellow ERA user
UglySofaGaming again picked his very favorite Dreams of the week again, too. His video features
00:00 Tria-Gone by Angelotje
00:34 Cyber Trigger by Paulo-Lameiras
00:57 Ratchet and Clank: Bullet Heck by Arisu_Mizuki
01:40 Stormfront 2 by dakrrs35 (mentioned above)
02:09 Retica by girlfromcroydon
02:33 Santa Dash 2 by Aecert
02:54 Party Showdown by arnoldochavez
03:28 Good Dog by RbdJellyFish
03:59 Decorate Your Christmas Tree by Swecca
04:37 Christmas Light Show by Dr_WhoData
Lots of great stuff in here. Some of it has been featured in this thread already. I will specifically point out how amazing Stormfront 2 is once more. Same goes for Party Showdown which everyone who loves Mario Party will have a treat with. The video is timestamped for easy navigation to Dreams you might be the most interested in!
Creation of the Week (crazillo)
For me (and Ladylex), the best creation of the week besides Cyber Trigger was
Mechanic Depths. This is a super stylish platformer where the hero, a little Roboter, has to navigate a pretty challenging and well-designed machine cave environment. The Dream especially excels at its precise controls and strong vertical level design and camera work. Check it out!
Next post will be tomorrow for the week ending December 27!
