Darrah goes on to suggest that Ellis' behavior toward him and the larger community could potentially bar Ellis from ever working with BioWare again. Ellis, notable for his portrayal of Anders and Cullen, has fallen out of favor with some fans for his support of U.S. President Donald Trump and "out-of-the-box thinkers" like "Blexit" organizer and right-wing puppet , Candance Owens. Some of his other inspirations include noted bigot Jordan Peterson and Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA fame:

I was gonna say, there's pretty much zero doubt that BioWare is ever hiring him again after this. Even if he was telling the truth and Darrah is a jerk as well, this kind of out-in-the-open behavior is a PR nightmare no sane company would want to be associated with.

And considering he's a Turning Point USA/Jordan Peterson/Trump fan, it's no real loss.

Disappointed to find out about Cullen's VA. I'm fine with him not coming back, or Cullen just getting a new VA. My slightly insane dwarf girl who romanced him will move on.

I didn't even think Cullen as a character would even come back in future games since his arc seemed pretty complete and Anders was already recast in DA2 as Adam Howden. I don't see Bioware of all companies hiring someone like him after this so I don't know what he's smoking thinking that Darrah/Hudson leaving would get him a VA job again lmao

Considering how much of a push across the whole organisation is for there to be more respect, empathy, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects, potentially is not a word I would use.

While I am not familiar with this particular situation, I wouldn't even blink if he gets completely dumpster-ed.

How'd I miss that Cullen was voiced by a POS? I already didn't like Cullen as a character though so I feel kinda validated, but still bad for Cullen fans.

Looked into the guy and turns out he's trying to be some Jordan Peterson wanna be. He has a podcast with the some of the who's who of reactionaries.

Bioware is an absolute dumpster fire. Strange to think they once made some of my favorite games and now I have 0 expectations for anything they do.

I'm not going to detail the incident (much of it is available on the net anyway) but Ellis has been messed-up for a long time. He was briefly reported missing in May 2016 after a "manic episode."

By no means does this excuse him for proving himself a piece-of-filth human. It's simply a terrible shame that the Dragon Age fan community worried over Ellis' mental health for a long time and then he's gone off the deep end sociopolitically and damned himself out of future opportunities because he's such a mean-spirited jackass. What a waste.

I love Dragon Age and I can honestly say that I would'nt won't notice that the characters have been recast. Out of all of the things that endear DA to me, his performance wasn't one of them.

Tbh it's been 6 years since Inquisition, I would literally have no idea if they replaced this guy as a voice actor or not.
