EA confirmed today that Dragon Age 4 won't be launching until after April 2022.
Jesus. Talk about bulletin board motivation.Pretty sure it will be horrible whenever it does come out. No pressure to deliver anything good at this point BioWare
I have this terrible feeling that it'll wind up cancelled or be a GAAS multiplayer title and I honestly don't know which would be worse.

The current iteration is GAAS:
EA said they're doubling down on GaaS/Live service so probably the latter.

Take all the time you need. In the meantime, maybe we could finally get that Mass Effect Trilogy remaster people have been clamoring for.
With EA doubling down on GAAS, DA4 probably has died for me anyways. My expectations are non existent, it can't get worse at least.
(I hope. But it's EA/BioWare, so ... eh.)
I would love to be dead wrong, they were my favorite studio a decade agoJesus. Talk about bulletin board motivation.
Secretly hope you are wrong.
It will be. Fortunately we have Spider games and Obsidian moving in on Bethesda/Bioware's high-budget turfHowever long it takes. As long as it isn't some always online, deeply unethical microtransaction-filled nightmare.
It absolutely would not. There was only a small skeleton crew doing pre-production at the time it was rebooted and no team was available to start doing full production on it until Anthem came out this year.If it hadn't been rebooted in late 2017, it would be have been out by now, or at least by next-gen.
