Don't get me wrong, I don't support a lot of what Doc does, but he's definitely a celebrity, there's no way around it. Saying he's anything but one is flat out wrong
The name is bad, the logo font is bad, the banner photo is just a default Sublime Text window. I'll pass.
G list celebrity is still celebrity.Don't get me wrong, I don't support a lot of what Doc does, but he's definitely a celebrity, there's no way around it. Saying he's anything but one is flat out wrong
Not saying it is a stunt but could be a huge mistiming. This is not a stunt. No way.
Why the hell would he do that in these times?
You're my second favorite sleuth in the saga. The guy that likes to tersely correct my wild speculation in a thread of nothing but wild speculation.
there's no proof that it is, more possibility that it isn't but people would rather believe the worst conspiracy than to believe that Doc did something terrible, whatever it may be.This is not a stunt. No way.
Why the hell would he do that in these times?
You keep making ridiculous and hyperbolic comments. If I've replied to you a couple times, perhaps step back a bit and think about the situation.
No, being able to use licensed music would not make something a "Twitch killer." That isn't logical. No one cares about that.
In the context of "would twitch really do something that stupid" this would be 100% confirmed.
Holy fuck that would be a glorious denouement: A simple "oops".

It wouldnt make sense to be accidental when you refund subs and remove emotes. That's not automaticHoly fuck that would be a glorious denouement: A simple "oops".
Lol. Because you're going way too far. You apparently don't understand why Twitch is... Well, Twitch. Lemme spoil it for you : Nothing will kill Twitch. Except Twitch themselves. The vast majority of the comments here are pretty ridiculous and hyperbolic, that's like the entire thread.
In theory, a service launched by Spotify with the music thing being one feature *could* kill Twitch depending on a bunch of other contributing factors. To not even entertain that idea is more ridiculous than the idea itself.
I find it really weird that only a certain amount of speculation is acceptable.

I'm not saying I think it's likely, I don't think it's likely.Lol. Because you're going way too far. You apparently don't understand why Twitch is... Well, Twitch. Lemme spoil it for you : Nothing will kill Twitch. Except Twitch themselves.

Yea that makes a platform switch very unlikelyAssuming for a moment the switch to a new platform theory has merit, these things probably have months of contract negotiation behind them and are planned well in advance.
The thing that makes the platform-switch theory shakey is the fact that he negotiated a new multi-year contract with twitch only a few of months ago.
That's fair, I largely don't disagree with that. Taking down twitch would be a monumental task, I it's don't think it's impossible, rather highly improbable.Tbh I can't see how any new service could take on Amazon's clout. They aren't synergizing as much as they could be bit twitch can pretty much crossover with the rest of their business model.

A platform switch I would understand if it was one that could buy of people, but a brand new one? He would need to pay out of his own pocket and I doubt it will be cheap.Coincidentally, the way Brime writes Twitter messages is very similar to the way Doc writes on Twitter as well: short sentences, tiny paragraph, several return to line in the same tweet. This might be nothing at all though, and the fact the overall design of that Twitter account looks a bit amateurish thus far doesn't make me confident.
I'm glad we're circling back to the "Doc is creating his own streaming platform behind Twitch's back" theory though, which was my very first theory about this whole ordeal.
well that theory would make sense and people just want a real alternative to Twitch, there's definitely an opportunity to do things right and actually give them a fight, Mixer was barely running and they got Twitch scared by taking talent away.Coincidentally, the way Brime writes Twitter messages is very similar to the way Doc writes on Twitter as well: short sentences, tiny paragraph, several return to line in the same tweet. I love when forensic linguistics exposes people trying to get ahead with bots and alts. A useful skill for an admin no doubt.Coincidentally, the way Brime writes Twitter messages is very similar to the way Doc writes on Twitter as well: short sentences, tiny paragraph, several return to line in the same tweet.

The bar isn't that high compared to Doc.
Here's a handy guide, if you check either of these boxes, you're as bad as Doc.
[ ] - Do you spread well debunked conspiracy theories around COVID-19 being caused by 5G?
[ ] - Do you reference David Icke in a sincere way and not bring him up only to rip him for being a moron?
I don't check either of these boxes, so I'm not a stupid idiot who shares dangerous theories with an impressionable audience. I wouldn't even say most of us are good people, but the bar to being better than Doc at some points is just breathing. If this bothers you, I urge you to reevaluate your shit. This isn't about being morally superior, it's about being happy someone who shares dangerous ideas to an audience, of which is made up of people probably unable to correctly identify these ideas as dangerous, has been banned. I think that's okay personally.
Bit harsh, nothing wrong with my new favourite streaming service; B-RIME.
He has million+ followers, recognisable outside his following, is a multi millionaire, showed up on Jimmy Fallon as well as WWE show, and until recently was the main streamer in the most popular streaming platform. People can try to downplay it as much as they like but he's a bonafide celebrity much in the same way Ninja is, even if Ninja is a bigger star.
Maybe a fake name until it's actually revealed?Someone trying to go up against Amazon, Google, Facebook and now Tencent being able to just poach some dude 3 months into a contract just seems far fetched to me.
The person writing that Brime stuff is this guy: https://twitter.com/TheMixerMagic
I mean, it's a Mixer manager(?) account with 4k followers. If this person somehow, in some universe does have the resources to make something, there's no way it's ready in the immediate future.
I don't think they're a manager. I think they're just a streamer from mixer.Someone trying to go up against Amazon, Google, Facebook and now Tencent being able to just poach some dude 3 months into a contract just seems far fetched to me.

Just the problem is the timing and why would doc sign a contract with twitch if the plan was to move all along,Quote possible.
I remember The Verge web site being called 'ThisIsMyNext' before launch.
Yeah you're smarter than all of us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
