It's great to see gaming have it's Metoo moment.
It sucks to see gamers are handling it about as well as I expected.

Twitch and the gaming industry at large will continue to be shit when you have notable people in the community treating these serious events like this.

Seems like Kaitlyn "moved on", she hasn't talked about any of allegation she made and/or wanted to make since JP's statement. About JP and/or that RollPlay cast member.
I hope she does speak up and this thing doesn't just get brushed to side.
The clip last year agoFor those who don't remember, Poopernoodle stayed at Josh's house last year and streamed with him, but the next day she left and when she streamed on her channel, she was crying and saying she didn't want to talk about it

Hi-Rez have banned DM from the game and are taking steps to remove content that was associated with him from the game (Announcer Pack, Ward Skin)
Furthermore they've asked DM to stop continuing to create content for any of their games in the future.
This one is also fucking messed up. MethodJosh cases

I know but the problem in their apparent logic of "my favourite streamer is innocent until proven guilt" is to mistake the judiciary and moral vocabulary. On the judiciary ground, sure that you are innocent until proven guilt, but you stay accused, it doesn't give you the right to get out of the trial or cancel the procedure against you. And a case dismiss isn't a verdict of innocence.i'm not sure this is what they meant when they said "believe women".
So we've reach the point where the porn industry seems offer safer work conditions for their employees than the videogame industry.
I am hesitant to ask you of which one you are talking about because it could apply to both (so I edit a /s on my message) but I was thinking about health and hygiene practice ( bacterias and virus don't care about gender barrier) and also to avoid creeps among fans and professionals. In general how women in the adult industry have to protect themselves when you are literally offering vulnerability for the audience. Many of the people who work in this industry are some of the most toxic and insecure people creating products for a generally toxic and insecure people. This industry has been trash from top to bottom.
This guy sounds like he needs to be in jail or a padded cell.
Anyways, saw this posted:
/u/__Hello_my_name_is__ said:From what I can tell, this began in the UK professional wrestling Twitter sphere of all places. All kinds of women have spoken up about various wrestlers and other people in the scene, which has led to multiple high-profile firings, suspensions and bans in various places (WWE: Jack Gallagher fired, Impact: Joey Ryan, Dave Crist fired, Michael Eglin suspended. AEW: Sammy Guevara suspended (for a rape joke) NWA: Pretty much the entire league went bankrupt after one of the founders was accused and stepped down, though COVID-19 certainly played a role here too.). There's way too many threads to link here and too many accusations to mention, basically all of /r/SquaredCircle is nothing but this one topic right now, and has been for the last week.
This (I presume) then sparked similar twitter threads in the Twitch community. Y'know, video game streaming and whatnot. Plenty of callouts, too.
Which in turn led to Dota2, as OP describe. And also Starcraft 2.
TL;DR: This is a full-blown second #metoo movement of sorts, spanning several genres and communities.
Edit: It's also possible that it started out in the comic book community instead, or that the Chris D'Elia accusations were the first instance of this new movement.
yeah Method knew about josh but they kept him on cause he was a great healer. Would not be surprised if more comes out. Method have "boys club" written all over them imo.

A smaller streamer talks about her past, she isn't accusing anyone in the streaming world, more about her past growing up. Really sad read.
I saw what he said. It's still a bunch of nothingness. Basically, here's paraphrasing what he said: "I'm not saying that these people shouldn't speak out. I know that a lot of these claims are true and these people should absolutely speak out. I'm just saying it's dangerous to accuse someone without being 100% sure"Supposedly Summit was on point and real when he talked about this stuff on his stream, that was after he posted that thread. Saw e.g. Shannon praising him for doing better there and suggested he should scrap that shitty tweet.

Didn't see him on the list, found it via ProSyndicate accusers.

Twitch staff member Hassan (not the streamer) has been implicated also
Isn't Hassan also center of that age old Twitch "joke" that if you send him nudes as girl streamer then you wont be banned, ever?
That's promising. They need to keep going and be thorough.Twitch released this statement saying that will start permamently suspending people :
So far people have noticed that:
- iAmSp00n
- BlessRNG
- WarwitchTV
- DreadedCone
- Wolv21
are all gone
Basically the people who admitted to it are gone and others are being investigated.

Surprising if Valve doesn't ban Toby from the scene. They ousted James for nothing in comparison.
More news from the Dota scene. Tobiwan, a huge caster and personality for years in the Dota 2 community:
