The UK developer and publisher Double Eleven has acquired VooFoo Studios for an undisclosed fee.
Double Eleven, best known for its work on the PixelJunk series, Goat Simulator and Prison Architect, has seen its staff count increase to 70 with the new acquisition, which actually took place in December. Alongside the studio, Double Eleven has also acquired VooFoo's multi-platform Mantis Engine, which most recently powered 2016's Mantis Burn Racing for all console formats and PC.In its 12 years in business, VooFoo has been responsible for the Pure series of simulation games, including Pure Chess, Pure Pool and Pure Hold 'Em. It's also developed Hustle Kings and Backgammon Blitz, as well as the aforementioned Mantis Burn Racing. It's currently working on This Is Pool
