  • Neutral drops will now always drop only 3 items per tier, rather than having a chance to get more
  • Neutral drops no longer have an end period in terms of when they can drop, just a start period (now 5/15/25/40/70). Higher tier items will always roll first
  • Neutral drop rate changed from 10/5/2.5/1.25/etc to 9/6/3

Not sure I like the "only 3 item drop per tier". I feel like it makes it more RNG than it already was.

But it should stop people from going afk jungle, and the game being all about securing the ennemy jungle.... I really don't know where to stand on all that.

in my experience so far nobody knows how this works.

everyone has different priorities: jungle, rune, outpost, tower

Just played the craziest ranked game of my life. Support Jakiro starts flaming our offlane Lycan and starts feeding to the enemy. He started doing menial shit like pushing towers and I was there to praise him and spam >Don't Give Up! as we raged on against this unstoppable dire team. I knew we could bring it back down the line as Spectre is my best hero and easily the single hero I'm most confident in playing. This ain't my first rodeo, I'm used to getting fucked at the start but eventually bringing it back. This game however... Whew boy.

I had a really shitty lane and Axe started creep skipping, lost my courier which had my Wraith Band + Soul Ring on it. I couldn't approach the creep wave without getting harassed to high heavens. My support Lifestealer (bless his soul) had a tough time dealing with Axe + Rubick and ended up dying a few. At that point I knew I was in for one of *those* games.

They ended up getting mega creeps at 25 mins. The deathball was just too strong for us and we could never take any good 5v5 engagements but we managed to get a few pickoffs on Death Prophet which dettered them from pushing into us. I was starting to get pretty fat too. We defended for THIRTY FIVE FUCKING MINUTES and after a while kept winning fight after fight. Our support Lifestealer would jump into our MK and Lycan would aghs me and we'd just walk over the enemy team.

Eventually, our feeding and flaming Jakiro came around as it looked like we had a fighting chance. The enemy Death Prophet would constantly try to TP into a free lane and push on our throne while we were distracted but our Jakiro pulled off some clutch shit and we'd manage to stop her on time with the power of Abyssal. This all feels like a fucking blur but I can't believe we actually won. The enemy team were doing some stupid shit but we played well too. I can't understate how important encouraging your teammates is. Even saying dumb shit like "We've got this" can go a long way in allievating players who may be tilted from a shitty loss streak or whatever. Fuck. What a fucking game. This is why Dota is the best game ever fucking made. It's these kinds of games that remind you why you're still playing 5000 hours on and why you'll always come back to it after you've had your fun with your Destinys, Sekiros or Death Strandings.

As this game went on, I sent messages about it to my mate on Discord. You can literally see me slowly lose my shit as the possibility of us winning this game grew higher and higher.

Played DOTA for the first time since Jan 2018, 2 wins and 2 losses, perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

Most of my games involve someone running out of internet cafe time or straight up destoying items.

Winning or losing literally depends on random factors than actual gameplay

What behavior score you rolling with nowadays? I bottomed out few months ago at 3k, and now I'm at 8k. I don't notice much of a difference.

Below 9k behavior score should be a bannable offense on this board! My quest for rampage goes on, 600+ damage clinkz game and the game ends with their throne dying when I have a three heroes down and pumeling the last two, fml. It shouldnt matter but it feels like im foregoing every other thing I could do on my precious spare time to do this :/

Taking the patch in, it definitely feels like they're trying to hard cap game length to not go past 75+ and have most (long) games end at 40-50min

On one hand I can appreciate that, on the other it just feels like I'm gonna' have fewer but more frustrating long games.
