MYy RTX 2070 Super is going to do great in this but I hope that my Ryzen 5 3600 won't hold it back.

Either way it's gonna be amazing. This game is the reason I bought my PC.

Hmm I wonder if I can run 1440p 60fps at Ultra Nightmare settings on my 3700x, RTX 2060 Super and 16GB ram. Probably dial the resolution down a notch

The game has built in dynamic resolution scaler I believe, that will work wonderfully unless it needs to drop from 1440p native all the way down to 720p which is too big of a gap and will cause stuttering. With free style sharpening and world class TAA image quality should hold up.

Ok I think I can expect something close to 1440p60 with dynares with my 1070 on high settings.

Hopefully my 980Ti can handle this well. Don't want to buy a new GPU just yet. From the recommended it looks like I'll be running at high, but not ultra. That's ok.

Thought 1050Ti and 1650 are at least of equivalent power as 970, so that's interesting. Happy to hear that it's not as bad with it as it seemed.
Ironically, while I thought it'll be the GPU that will be out-of-date first, it's the CPU that's holding me down. Probably will move to Ryzen before a new graphics card.

I could run DOOM at Ultra (but not Nightmare) on my 970, 3770k. I'm pretty confident I can run this, particularly with Vulkan - they said the code was more efficient anyway. I know the min spec is 970, but I'm betting med-high.

A 970 has almost twice the FLOPS than a 1050 Ti.

I think it all depends on Vram usage. Id tech games tend to be Vram hungry, but only time will tell.

I'm sure this game will be able to run on a myriad of cards as long as people know to compromise on graphical fidelity. The baseline for games are on the verge of changing with the new console generations. But at the same time I'm sure you could tweak some .ini files to get the game running on a potato if need be.

I will say, NVDA needs to hurry up with Ampere. I don't even care about Ampere. I just want them to get it out of the way so we can get that MCM goodness with Hopper.

Nice looks like I'm set for 1440p high refresh if I want to grab it.

I think 9900k will hold up really well into the coming generation of games.

I got DOOM 2016 to run on my 2012 MacBook Pro with an Nvidia 650M, albeit at 800x600 + Low @ ~30-50fps. Was a joy to see it finally running well on my gaming laptop.

Yeah this is the last big release my 1060 will have to endure - it'll get put out to pasture before Cyberpunk hits.

Same (in my case a mobile version of the 6GB 1060). Was gonna build a PC in 2017 but ended up travelling a few years because of work so I got a secondhand laptop off eBay. Might finally get around to building one next year.

I can't believe I survived the entire generation on 8 GBs of RAM. People kept insisting 16GB is a must, but even with super demanding games like Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Come: Deliverance, I never missed those extra 8 GBs.

Those revised specs are a relief. I can live with bumping the texture quality down a notch to suite my GTX 970. The initial specs were next generation bonkers and had me worried that the game would be a muddy slide show on current generation consoles.

Anyone puzzled by the CPU requirements? Ryzen 3 can run it at 60 fps on 1080p but not on higher res or settings? Seems weird.

My 2080 Ti is going to do just fine. 4k 60FPS Ultra I bet. Wonder what I'll be able to do once Raytracing is patched in.

I'm probably gonna see how 1080p/100+FPS works on my OC'd Vega 56+3900x setup. If I'm good for 1440p/60, I should be good for 1080p/100+FPS yeah?

I'll be going with the top settings but god damn this must have some big improvements over 2016 as that ran sweet on pretty humdrum machines.

I9 and 2080TI

1080ti owners, what do you expect to get at 60fps ? 1440p and see how far you can push them settings or 4k at highish settings tinkering some of them ?

I will find a way to hit 144 FPS / 1440p with an RTX 2080 / 3700x.

I will find a way.

The way I've been rationalizing it, it's usually the current gen's model number minus 90...

Was hoping to hit (close to) max settings 1440p 140 fps with my 9700K and 2080ti but looks like that aint happening, maybe I was hoping for too much because of how amazing the last game ran on modest hardware. Oh well, I'll just have to lower some stuff to medium I'd guess.

I do meet the ultra-nightmare requirements but I do have a regular 2080. However, I'm playing this at 1920x1200 @ 60fps so I should be fine maxing this out!

2080 here also, with dynamic res on should solves all performance issue in 4k to make sure frame rate is locked 60fps. You can probably dsr 4k down to 1080p.
