Stock clocks? HT enabled or disabled? IIRC the first game performed worse with HT enabled by a non-insignificant amount. Maybe something to test, but I doubt that's the cause of your issue. You should be getting significantly better performance with that setup.

Stock clocks, yeah. I've never given HT a single thought, so I assume it's enabled by default, which would mean it's enabled now too. FWIW, I played the first game a while ago and it performed absolutely beautifully with the highest settings.

What's your CPU/GPU usage look like?

Going by Window's task manager, CPU utilization never goes above 50%. Going by the in-game metrics, CPU whatever (I don't know the term for the metric lol) jumps around the 16-18ms region when I'm outside and looking at, I dunno, random spots in the sky. Even at these times CPU utilization stays under 50%.

I'd love to take a screenshot of the in-game metrics view, but it's coming out black.

Anyone having HDR compatibility issues? I am on a Samsung Q70r at 1440p 120hz and when I try to apply HDR it tells me the device does not support it. No issues with other games and HDR setting on windows is turned on.

Ryzen 3700X
RTX 2080 (non-super, non-Ti!)
32 GB RAM @ 3200 Mhz
SSD
2560 x 1440

Ultra-Nightmare = ~100 - 140 FPS (my cap)
Nightmare = ~120 - 140 FPS

Put it on all Nightmare with textures at Ultra Nightmare. Looks the same to me and it's a good chunk more performance. There's a lot more going on here than 2016, in terms of scale and detail, so I get it. Honestly drops from 140 to 110 or whatever are not especially noticeable unless you're really trying to feel for it. Anything above 60 in this engine feels silky as hell anyway, if I'm being honest.

Played the first 30 min. Haven't updated my drivers yet, but still I seem to have no problem hitting a consistent 97 fps at 3440x1440 with Ultra Nightmare settings on the following rig:
- 8700k @ 4.4 GHz
- GTX 2080ti
- 32 GB DDR4 @ 2400 MHz
- Sata SSD

Mine is launching, and after a few splash screens
Okay, i guess we have the same issue, but i found a fix. Launch Reshade and :

Disable ReShade in Vulkan ! Works well for me now !

The graphics settings are weird in that there doesn't seem to be much difference between any of them in either visual quality or performance impact. Even the 'ultra-nightmare' options.

Anyone else running into issues unlocking the game on Steam using VPN?
Worked for me. Make sure you're not logged into Steam anywhere (you can guarantee this by changing your password via the Windows client). Then you just exit out of the Steam client, VPN to your desired timezone, open the Steam client, let Doom unpack, start the game, and while the game is still running, set Steam to Offline mode. Then you can safely disconnect from the VPN and still be able to start the game as long as Steam remains in Offline mode (until it's March 20th in your real life timezone, then you can go back to Online mode).

My specs are i7-6700k, 16gb ram and a gtx 1070 mobo is Z170XP-SLI. I have the newest drivers from nvidia.

Any idea why this shit would be crashing before I get to the main menu?

9600k+1070 at a static 1440p. everything set to high with the usual trash like motion blur and film grain turned off, 70-100fps.

I'm getting lowish FPS in Earth with a 1080 Ti at 1440p
i7 6700K

Something feels wrong. No difference going from Ultra Nightmare to Nightmare to Ultra

I'm so close to breaking and buying this, when I've got a load of other stuff to play. BUT IT HAS HDR ON PC.

HDR? Nice. I'm guessing RTX features didn't make the launch cut.

Anybody running on Ultra-Nightmare settings?

Fucking beautiful, the 2080Ti is the gift that keeps giving. Can't wait to play it on mine!

Nvidia fucked us over on the pricing, but it has been an absolute workhorse for me at 4k and high settings.

Game runs at 100-120fps at high settings with Ultra Nightmare textures on my Titan X and 6700k when I turn the resolution scaling on. Vulkan is amazing.

Has anyone had any luck capturing footage with OBS? I just get a black feed when I try to hook the window.

Reading the thread, I have the same exact setup with the same exact symptoms.
Random drops, settings barely do anything

I would be interested to know what kinda performance I could expect. I have:
ryzen 5 1400
8 gb ram
rx 580 4gb

Its mostly the cpu I'm worried about holding me back. I currently have the game ordered from amazon for ps4 because I assumed back when the game was announced my pc wouldnt be able to handle the game. If its delayed due to current events I would definitely consider picking up the pc version if I can run it better than base ps4.

Sorry to hear that, though I must say that is somewhat comforting - I was wondering if something was seriously wrong with my PC lol.

FWIW, I've decided to continue playing, the game doesn't drop below 60 frequently enough to really bother me. Everything on ultra nightmare cause why not - dropping it to low literally gives me ten more frames per second.

But definitely ping me if you find a fix to it!

Hopefully these DOOM drivers unbreak my Valve Index which got completely borked by the Warzone drivers.

Anyone noticed that we got two executable? One is rather small and one is large. The former one might be w/o DRM?

installed to M2 drive.

Im playing at 1440p on a g-sync monitor with everything set at ultra (though not ultra nightmare) and I'm averaging 100fps. The game runs amazingly. I'll probably actually try bumping up a few more settings to see what I can get away with.
