The ideal Doom movie would be a lean mean 90 minutes, Raid/Fury Road-inspired, and just be Doom Guy and a squad fighting their way to the last shuttle out of the infested facility. Marines versus demons, simple, gory, non-stop action. Movies like Upgrade and Overlord show that b-movie pulp with craft can work well if the film commits.
Is this one of those deals where Universal needs to make a Doom film every few years to keep the rights?

Honestly, a Doom is probably actually pretty hard to make. As Doomguy is a non speaking, infinitely powerful brute. That's not really a character.A Doom movie seems like the hardest thing to fuck up and yet they do.
