You just reminded me of the existence of the Correspondents Dinner. The next one is going to be fun...
Biden is all about norms. He 100% would have been down to have Trump there and shake his hand or whatever is the norm.
Because he'll be actually attending the REAL inauguration at Dulce Base

Don't get me wrong, I'm fucking glad that at least for just one fucking moment on January the 20th, the news media won't be forced to cover another fucking Trump controversy. I'm hoping he's barely fucking mentioned at all during the ceremony, but I have no doubt they will constantly remind viewers that he's not in attendance and breaking tradition.
But God damn. How fucking frustrating it was to argue with family 4 to 5 years ago as Trump rose to and attained power. When I told them he would tear this country apart, and I was told that "they had to suck it up and live with Obama, and I will be fine living with Trump." "You have to give him a chance."
Everyone who stood by this shit at any point from the moment he announced his candidacy, fuck you forever. I will NEVER forgive any of you. That includes family.

Before the Capitol Insurrection, I was 99.9% sure he'd hold a rally in Florida at the same time, maybe announce a 2024 run or Trump TV or something.

The President-Elect and First Lady arrive to the White House where Trump and Melania would greet them. Trump would stand there with his arms crossed while Melania looks stone faced as she usually does.
He offers old, frozen Trump Steaks long past expired, along with two First Class Tickets that are no longer valid on Trump Airlines to any closed Trump Casino of their choosing, and two free courses to Trump University.
Trump gives a tour of the Oval Office, and he has no idea what goes where, because he's never done the job as President. Biden actually shows Trump where things are at, because Biden has been there before with Obama.
Biden leaves to be Inaugurated, while Trump steals the silverware and leaves a note to Biden that reads like a tweet.
