[...] They said even if I ever managed to do afford the treatment [...]

this should NEVER be a sentence anyone has to hear. Putting a price on your live is unacceptable, especially for a developed country (I just assume you're from the US).
I'm deeply sorry you have to become just another victim to the heinous system some people like to call health care.
Even if there is only a 40% chance, it would be a chance worth taking. Rich people would, so why should you be worth less then them? Not even getting the opportunity due to monetary constraints is just upsetting.

Holy shit dude, so sorry.

I really hope this doesn't come off as callous, but at least you have that knowledge, death won't be a surprise. Live your remaining days to the fullest, forget and forgive yourself of the past.

Yes that's what doctors told me and what I've been reading online. It's a B Large Cells Diffused Lymphoma. Very rare at this age as well.
So it's 8 weeks to live without treatment? Prognosis is 40% curable? My wife who's 29 was unfortunately diagnosed last month as well with a similar disease (we honestly still can't believe it), a stage 1/2 subtype of large B-cell lymphoma but she falls under the 90+% 5 year survival rate from both her oncologist and from a second opinion doctor. She's already started chemo actually a few weeks ago.

I really hope you can find a way to get treatment. 40% is still better than nothing and your age helps a lot with going through something like chemotherapy. If you find a way to setup funding, we would be glad to contribute.

Also, join a lymphoma forum and ask for advice there as well. This is where I currently registered, under the non-hodgkin's subforum (that's what my wife has)

Write your favorite movie studio, maybe they'll do a private screening for you of your most anticipated movie.

Wow reading that OP really hit me. Do not give up Talal 40% is better than 0%. I hope you get any funding needed for the treatment. Cancer fucking sucks.

I'm sorry to hear that OP.

Like others have said, if you can set up a funding page I'd be down to put towards it. Please keep trying.

Wishing you all the best.

Bless you, man. I wish I had any meaningful advice or solutions to offer. You and I are the same age, and I could only aspire to possess half the strength of character you're shown in some of the heaviest circumstances imaginable.

Somehow smuggle yourself to Europe and get help, man. Don't give up, I know it must be very tiring and depressing, but don't let yourself go.

I know it's difficult to know there is a possibility that things can be changed, because you don't want to have hope only to see it go away again. Getting the funding goal is secondary, don't focus on that.
But right now, the most important thing you should do is find a way to confirm that money amassed online could be used to pay for the treatment, either in your home country or another, by getting in contact with the treatment providers. Like I said on the previous page they want money to do the treatments, it's their source of income, so logically they will provide all the info and help needed to be able to carry it out.

OP, if a Gofundme or Kickstarter page gets sorted out for you, I'm in.

Until then, make the most of every precious second. Want to make a movie? Grab your phone and start shooting. Want to drive a muscle car? Find a car club or classic car meet up group near you.

Aren't there any popular TV shows that could help you, or give you a public platform to tell your story and ask for help?

People saying "have the best 8 weeks of your life" aren't really considering what it's like to be sick to that point. It's not easy to enjoy yourself in that state.

That being said I hope they are meaningful for you OP, though obviously I'd rather you find some way to pull through and get some treatment.

My best friend was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer two years ago.
It was a really tough time for him, but suffered through it and he managed to kick it's ass. And you're going to do that too, OP!

I'm rooting for you.

If you think you might still try and do crowfunding, start video recording meetings with Doctors, scanner technicians, everyone. Just use your phone or any cheap camera. Keep copies of test results and whatever else you can. Increases chances of getting funds at those sites a lot to have a ton of video/documentation.

Could you maybe take up loans to pay for the treatment, then leave the country after all is done to avoid having to pay it? If that's possible, go for it. It's better than dying.

I hate to hear this, man. It truly hurts my heart. I'm wishing you the very best in your remaining time, and I have to say your calm attitude is impressive and inspiring.

Enjoy the rest of your time with us. Stop putting off some stuff you've been meaning to put off. Finish at least one task/project you've been meaning to finish. Spend time with the people that mean the most to you. Stay off social media, I say. Absorb as much goodness and beauty as you can. I mean, do what makes you happy, really. I was just thinking of the things I'd personally try and do. In the end, it doesn't matter what I suggest. Just make yourself as happy and comfortable as possible. Godspeed.

When I read your post I started tearing up. As a person who's personally went through cancer I understand how rough a situation it can be. You start to realize just how precious life truly is. There isn't much I can tell you, however I plead you not to give up. Whether it's finding things you enjoy in life or fighting your cancer don't give in. I don't know if I can donate now since I don't have much money at the moment, but when I do get some money I will happily donate.

So live strong my friend.

Hey OP, you could try writing to key members of the teams behind those projects you are lamenting. Occasionally I've seen terminal fans of projects get extra special sneak peaks from creators who hear about their causes. Maybe try reaching out to Geoff Knightly or someone at sony and seeing if they can pass a word onto Kojima or something? A little bit of peace of mind?

Yes I learned about it 6 months ago but just did some treatment here and there whenever I got some money together to buy myself some time. At first the cost wasn't as huge and even then I couldn't afford it.

Thanks for the response Talal!

I am sorry about your situation. I am not sure what the best advice to give you is? If you feel like you have a shot at getting some treatment, then I would go for it. Only if you believe your quality of life wont be drastically worse on the other end. If not, then try and live your life to the fullest with what time you have remaining.

1. You're going to go through stages of denial, anger, loneliness and fear. It's absolutely normal and do not feel bad for it. Share it with people you know. It's not a burden, but a gift to them.

2. Every single poster in this thread will need to face death, and intense regrets will come for us all. Make peace with the fact that no one will ever have the time to experience anything close to what they wanted to in this life. You have time and knowledge to go out looking cancer in the eye like a fucking boss. Take pride in it. Give it hell.

3. Many people have survived worse odds, and MANY have significantly beaten the doctor's prognosis on time. You are not a statistical average. It's your body, your illness and every scenario is unique. Do not give up.
