I first saw that trailer for Folklore in 2007, when I was 14. I'm now 26, that was 12 years ago. But it feels like hardly any time at all, 12 years passed really fast. It made me feel old, even though 26 isn't old of course.

What about you guys? Stuff that makes you realise how fast time passes you by.

i didnt realize how fast time passes until i actually had a niece that wasnt on the other side of the country that i could see everyday.

Realizing how far back games on the 360 and PS3 were. They felt so "modern" to me and it seems so strange to think Dead Rising for example, came out in 2006, almost 13 years ago. Star Wars came and went and came again, and now that's wrapping up too.

On a personal note I'll be 30 in 4 more months. Terrifying.

Yeah right? Like the 360 is nearly 14 years old. And it felt so incredibly groundbreaking, but now we're not far from the anaconda or whatever it's called.

my cousins' cousins from the other side of their family include this girl who's 10 years old and I distinctly remember seeing her when she was like 2 months old, so thinking about her age makes me feel old

The first screenshots of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire around 2002, The Zelda E3 2005 trailer, the first Resident Evil 4 beta version trailer. I'm more than twice as old now.

2011-2019 felt so much shorter to me than 2002-2010 yet it's both 8 years.

Yeah all the time. I'll be thinking about something that happened "just a few years ago" and then realize it happened in like 2008... over a decade ago.

The spice girls were like 20 years ago. I remember hearing them all over the radio in high school.

Some of my hs buddy's have kids who are themselves in high school.

Not being the youngest at my company. I joined at age 22. I'm 25 now, still plenty young, but we're slowly hiring people born in the late 90s.

Hearing the anniversaries of certain movies, TV shows, games, events, etc. makes me feel this way. Time often feels like it's moving slowly day by day, but when you look at or think of it like that it's not.

It makes me depressed because I pine for those days of living misery free.
