I assume they'll be tweaked/finalized before release but wow some of those effects shots look off. The "So what are you doing out here?" snippets at the beginning are near prequel-levels of green screen compositing.
Other than that looks okayish. Blunt's brother is still barely seen so who knows how Disney will end up handling him.

TBH I'm not going to be too down on it as Johnson's films are usually pretty watchable and I really enjoyed Jumanji even though the trailer made it look really average.

I'm sure I read that they did a lot of reshoots with the character to make him less of a mincing, effeminate stereotype.
I honestly think it'll make a packet. It's the kind of big budget, family-friendly adventure film that Disney does well. It comes out at the end of July and from a quick look it has no real competition throughout August.
I have visions of him gathering his family and friends round at his house and saying "I swear, in this trailer you'll definitely see me!"

That's where I'm at. If it's essentially a Rock/Blunt double act for 2 hours....well, they are both very compelling and fun to watch actors. It could be enough.
When the CGI snake popped out of the dudes face I had to rewind it and see it again. It looked so terrible, I hope the poor CG artists gets to tighten the effects up because they look even rougher than usual.
Going to spend the next hour finding the best disco song to play over the Expedition Everest credits (it will probably be grooveline by heatwave)

Yep, sadly it looks like everything is CGI. Would have liked them going practical a lot more.
