How is Disney gonna handle both SW trilogies (RJ and B&W) and Avatar if they're all releasing in Christmas?

Not even Endgame will be able to surpass Force Awakes' domestic haul, yet you guys think they should take a 10 year break from Star Wars movies?

Lol.

So only 2 Marvel movies next year, and 3 per year after that.

That's the only information I was interested in.

Hopefully Feige does another phase reveal like he did for Phase 3.

I guess this also tells us that the former July 2020 Marvel film was supposed to be Guardians 3.

I will say that it is majorly interesting that the reaction to the break is either "3 years is too long!" or "3 years is not enough!"

Wonder if D&D trilogy will get pushed to Disney+ or if they'll finish Johnson's first and then do the other trilogy? That's going to be a long wait.

Damn... bummed they are giving Star Wars 3 years off in all honesty.
I really enjoyed having a film every year. Last December wasn't the same without a Star Wars release to go to see in the theater with my Dad.

where have you been?

there are 6 SW movies already confirmed 3 from Rian and 3 from the guys of game of thrones

3 of those are not getting made. And the other 3 are probably in the air, considering the lukewarm reception to GoT S8. Maybe they should let Favreau and Dave Filoni handle this.

Assuming they do both trilogies at once...

2021 Avatar 2
2022 Star Wars (D&D)
2023 Avatar 3
2024 Star Wars (Rian)
2025 Avatar 4
2026 Star Wars (D&D)
2027 Avatar 5
2028 Star Wars (Rian)
2029 Star Wars (D&D)
2030 Star Wars (Rian)

I could also see them doing all of either D&D or Rian in between avatar and then finishing the other trilogy in 2028-2030

that's the entire avatar saga and two SW trilogies in a decade; would be insane to pull off

Fucking hell MORE Star Wars.
This better be a 3 part Obi Wan Trilogy staring Ewan or else I'm not interested.

After Endgame I don't mind a 10 month break or just two movies next year. We didn't start getting 3 until 2017 and Spidey was one of the spots that year and this year.

I only just realized they have all of Star Wars AND Avatar complimenting their Marvel output. Adding the Disney+ incoming memberships we're not too far along till:

Yeah comparing Disney, which is currently run by a Jewish guy, to Nazis is a bad look.

"I feel bad that you guys don't have to wait longer and are getting more movies"

I hope you never feel bad for me or I might be struck by a car.

Getting "more" of something doesn't mean it's the quality it should be, the story or artist design it could have or the creativity that the previous installments had.

The way they are presenting this movie line up is basically a Chinese buffet. I'm sure lots of people will enjoy them, but if my favorite franchise got turned into a buffet I would be pretty saddened because of the obvious consequences.

The Rian Johnson trilogy was very recently confirmed to still be happening.
You have a source that says otherwise?

We've had annual Star Wars releases (Rogue One and Solo included) since 2015. I'd consider the three-year gap a break, if a small one.

What if the Rian Johnson trilogy and D&D series are the same thing? Didn't KK recently say they'd be working together closely?

3 years is honestly a longer gap than I was expecting for Star Wars. I expected the first movie on the B&W or RJ trilogies to come out in 2021.

About the Marvel dates, you gotta keep in mind that those don't include Spiderman since those movies are still Sony. So we may be seeing years with 4 MCU movies in the calendar.

What did you expect? These movies make a billion dollars each. They have two trilogies in pre-production. They were never going to stop for an extended period of time.
Why would he be kidding you? Three years is absolutely a break between movies in an ongoing film franchise.
...no?

People said there were too many Star Wars films. They listened and are slowing down. I legitimately do not understand how people are still bitching, especially when we knew they already had new films in development.

You guys will never be happy with anything.
Never mind me, I guess.

With only two Marvel movies next year and no Star Wars, 2020 doesn't look super exciting to me.

I also didn't have a problem with annual Star Wars movies because I think they have the potential to be an annual franchise with the right setup. But then again I've enjoyed most of what they've done so far.

Oh thats because they want you to sub to disney plus in between

Where ?? Is then I don't know of the actual release dates but they have been announced

Star Wars Mandalore Season 1 - Nov 2019
Bucky & Sam S1 - ??
WandaVision S1 - ??
Loki S1 - ??
Hawkeye S1 - ??
What if Marvel S1 - Animated Episodes - ??
Star Wars - Cassian Andor S1
Any Disney Live Action/ Pixar Shows - S1

Below have not been announced but assumptions made by me.

Star Wars Mandalore S2 - nov 2020??
Bucky & Sam S2 - ??
WandaVision S2 - ??
Loki S2 - ???
Hawkeye S2 - ??
What if Marvel S2 - Animated Episodes - ??
Star Wars - Cassian Andor S2
Any Disney Live Action/ Pixar Shows - S2

And so on
