That's incredible. The video was uploaded to YouTube 7 minutes ago and it's 20 minutes long. How did you do this?

Is he calling him Mark Sony?

It sounded like that last time as well.

Step away from the computer, take a break and remember it's just plastic boxes lol. These devices and the corporations behind them don't care about you. And you care too much about them.

Mad indeed

I've seen it confirmed a few places, but specifically due to the DualSense trigger features in play. Without them, it seems to be normal PS4-like battery life.

The 2 hour thing comes from someone who left their controller on max haptic vibration in one specific spot in Astro's Playroom, nobody will ever have their battery life drained in 2 hours in any normal play session

Sorry I just had to, lol

On topic, the lack of some PS5 features is disappointing, but I also know I won't be using any of the HDMI 2.1 stuff anytime soon. Maybe in 10 years when I upgrade my TV :(

That person is fitting of their name, that goes without saying. Sad state of affairs when a plastic box can bring out so many emotions from people. 😆

Wait that can't be right?
The consensus from posts I saw seemed to be 7-13 hours unless stuck on something that uses the DualSense features heavily like Astrobot where it can go down to 4 (but I think in that case they deliberately left it on an area where the controller was constantly vibrating so not a normal play-case). Didn't see 2 hours anywhere.

What's funny is that I've been following PS5 news like crazy and wasn't aware of half the stuff on this list. Someone is devoting serious amounts of time on trolling.
Also somehow people think that creating long lists of questionable or minor "negatives" somehow produces an inferior net result to the console they are trying to promote.

The lack of VRR, and good storage management seem to be the big disappointments here. Along with maybe the odd 8k output stuff with HDMI2.1. Overall, good review and looks good.

Mainly positive impressions overall.
Lack of VRR and 8K are main complains and both are advertised in the box/blog posts, so it should be coming soon.

EDIT: And this ending, lol.

A few features missing at launch are to be expected and surely no one has forgotten the features missing at the start of the current gen in 2013. Overall I'd say the PS5 is a solid piece of tech that will certainly get better with time. Congrats to Cerny and his team for engineering a great console for next gen.

Not much to discuss, glad they like the system on the whole though. I wonder if if Valhalla is the first 3rd-party they do comparisons with.

Richard seemed to really like whatever HDR/SDR implementation they have for back compat games. Nearly all of the posts in the thread about it here seemed very concerned, so I guess that is good news.

Shit, at 15:40 in the video the series X is not able to display 120Hz on that 1440p 144Hz monitor.... that fucking sucks because my Samsung NU8000 can only display 120Hz up to 1440p

I remembered it being missing some features on launch, but this Reddit post shows how really barebones it was.

Certain features are lacking for sure, even if I personally don't care about them, but at least time the hardware is solid under every aspect, and the games are there from Day 1.

Features and OS can always be improved, the foundations are solid.

Just hearing that it's essentially silent is all I wanted. My Pro is insanely loud now even with games that I thought weren't really pushing things at all and it's just unbearable. Thursday can't get here soon enough.

Post history on that guy is all console warring. Just make his ban permanent.

No VRR and cold storage is a massive bummer, better get patched in quick.

Wow, what a clusterfuck of a thread so far.

Does anyone have a summary of what was actually presented in the DF video?

I have never been this static to get a new console just for old games. Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone will be a blast to play at 60 fps.

Instead of leaving that post up there, why not just go ahead and delete it?

Thread should be locked and restarted.

As for the video itself, I am very impressed with the PS5 and how it all turning out. I believe everyone is going to have a great time with the system and its games. Can not wait.

DualSense btw is something I never thought would be so game changing. Excited for that controller as well.

Great video. Sounds like I'll enjoy it. Only thing I'm not going to enjoy is the lack of folders. Can't wait for Thursday.

I was hoping I'd get an answer from this video but I guess not

Can anyone please please please tell me if PS5 supersamples for 1080p.

Because if it did, I don't get why you have to choose "1080p" in the resolution options. Makes me paranoid that it doesn't supersample
