This, plus what are the graphical enhancements? Is the PS5 version significantly better looking than the PS4 version?DualSense Support, loading times and PS4->PS5 save game transfer infos are needed for final decision if I start with PS4 or PS5 version…
I mean PS5 doesnt support VRR.I️ think my TV has VRR. I️ have a xsx and a ps5. Where I️ get it
So, good first impressions? I am likely going Series X here.Been playing for 3 hours on SX now and bounced between both modes. Didn't notice any drops in performance, and while quality can dip, it's nothing gamebreaking.
How was this not a factor in reviews, either via a reduction in score or worded in the the review itself? There is this weird acceptance in the media and from From Soft fans that terrible performance is part and parcel of what you can expect and it's incredibly odd to me as someone who's not really a fan.
I don't think that's right unless I'm missing something.
The PS5 version of Horizon Physical doesn't offer the PS4 version for example.
Only if you buy PS5 digitally do you typically get both versions regardless (or buy the PS4 version and redeem the PS5 upgrade on the store page).
How dare you provide a measured response, the performance of this video game personally insulted me and I will be complaining to the manager (Miyazaki).Nobody cried about 92 metascore not reflecting performance issues with Bloodborne.
Game is a masterpiece regardless and while the performance is not *perfect* it's still playable with no game-breaking bugs...
It is that simple. Sony corp doesn't want VRR in the PS5 until their TVs get VRR or some bullshit. As someone ignorant about how it works, why did PS5 not have VRR from the start and why after over a year since launch does it still not have it? I assume it's not as simple as a firmware update?
I'll be honest, I️ don't fucking know what VRR is lol. I️ just know the tv has it and this is the first time it's really come up
As I said in the other thread, straight up embarrassing, as are the people hand waving this because "VRR displays".
Because Sony TV were not supporting it for a long time. easy simple answer. As someone ignorant about how it works, why did PS5 not have VRR from the start and why after over a year since launch does it still not have it? I assume it's not as simple as a firmware update?
They could have switched engines, Their inhouse engine has had the same issues now for YEARS without it being fixed. On their defense, making a fully open-world game is several orders of magnitude more complex than what they've been doing until now... but yeah, not ideal
Probably April and yes, if you can get one, do it. VRR is an incredible technology regardless of this topic.
Simple answer. When some framedrops happen in the game. You dont see it. As the TV "compensates" for it.I'll be honest, I️ don't fucking know what VRR is lol. I️ just know the tv has it and this is the first time it's really come up
It seems, to me, as though because people have access to VRR displays, it's not being made out to be as big a deal as it is.Is anyone actually excusing it or handwaving the issue away? I'm grateful I have a VRR TV but they should not be relying on that, I think everyone basically agrees with that.
Variable refresh rate.I'll be honest, I️ don't fucking know what VRR is lol. I️ just know the tv has it and this is the first time it's really come up
Long story short is it makes those drops nearly imperceivable on a console that supports VRR (like Series S|X).I'll be honest, I️ don't fucking know what VRR is lol. I️ just know the tv has it and this is the first time it's really come up
Fromsoft: "We hear you, we see you"PC players begging for Bloodborne may not be getting Bloodborne on PC, but they're getting a Bloodborne-like experience for PC. ;)
I'll be honest, I️ don't fucking know what VRR is lol. I️ just know the tv has it and this is the first time it's really come up
It can temper lag, judder and tearing, but it won't fill empty frames.I'll be honest, I️ don't fucking know what VRR is lol. I️ just know the tv has it and this is the first time it's really come up
It's amazing how inept and technically terrible From is. This continues to happen with EVERY game they make and we fans continue to give them a pass.
This game must be goat caliber for reviewers to ignore it
Cant wait
I cannot believe some people are seriously considering playing the PS4 version of this game (with 10x slower load times, lower picture quality, no dualsense support etc.) over the PS5 version just because framerate can drop down to a minimum of 45fps (which is already better than any FromSoft game released ever) ...
