Man. Amazing how people take one sentence Out of this full video and try and paint it negatively. Day 1 for me let's do it!!!!!
there's nothing a few weeks can change about that. they can't just add back the VTOL section or anything. maybe throw in some extra lighting feature, but it'll still be the 360/PS3 version as the baseSeeing the foundation that this port comes from makes me think people are gonna be none-too-happy about the eventual PC release unless Crytek really pulls a homerun with those few weeks of delay.
Are the interiors still as sparse as they were on the PS360 version? At least I'm glad to hear foliage has been restored. It is using a different CryEngine version due to rendering and background features, but the overhwleming majority of assets, level placement for things and even the bugs (the flashlight bug on level 1) are all from the PS360 versions.
I just knew Ascension would get axed again. Lots of disappointing things here.
As someone who has never played the game, how big of a deal is Ascension not being present?
Do not hold your breath for the other versions IMO - I am thinking they all will be content incomplete.
Extremely - absurdly taxing.Sorry, but I never played ascension level, is it very taxing or something?

Crysis is one of Alex's favourite games. It's a tech showcase built like no other - and in many ways, it still holds up today. Sit back as we take you throug...youtu.be
That's because of the old engine issue that doesn't scale on multi core cpu. Remaster should fix it.i7 8700K/TITAN X struggles to maintain 60 fps.Crysis 10 Years On: Why It's Still Melting The Most Powerful Gaming PCs

I can't imagine the people complaining in this thread, are people that ACTUALLY played the original PC release.
VTOL section is an abomination and its exclusion automatically gives the switch a +1 in the shines department.
This looks like a very nice port.
So they accidentally capped the framerate at 31 FPS on PS360 but never noticed because the PS360 ports could never reach the framerate cap anyway lmao
this remaster was already coming to PC. Xbox/PS4/PC versions got delayed, but the switch version didn'tFull resolution and SVOGI is pretty impressive. I wonder if the work done here for the Switch version can be scaled up for a next-gen/pc remaster with the best of both worlds.
I think what's happening is that the PS360 version changed the character model to better gel with the incredibly blue tone mapping (I guess BF3 was a big deal at the time). Now the Switch version has completely revamped the lighting, but they're still using the same assets. I'm betting the blue model is also lower poly in addition to the color changes, so it makes sense to use it for the Switch port. What's going on at 00:52 in the video? Is that a really dramatic lighting change or did they change which character is featured in that scene?
That is a good question and would be good to know.
