i was farming adventures for it for a while, and now that I have it, I use it all the time in pve. Love that gun.
I've heard that the Invader needs to damage ***not kill*** one of your teammates before you kill them.

Late to this party but I used Horror Story to get Breakneck.
But given all of the gambit quests and such I've almost gotten my 3rd Breakneck, at this point. 120 Gambit matches...mah gawd...
Low key though, Horror Story is still one of my favorite guns. For the flavor of it, for the Halloween-y-ness of it (I slapped an orange shader on it and everything). You NEVER see it, so I have half a mind to pull it out of the ol' vault and flail miserably with it in PvP just for the fun of it lol

It took me 3-4 kills that should have counted before I got it.
That's absolutely brutal if true; Invaders are typically armed with Power Ammo and preparing for one-hit kills when they jump through the portal.
It's just as common to see them, in my experience, using sustained damage weapons like machine guns.
I got it in my first match, second invasion (first invasion I was truthed). If you actively go hunting with a machine gun you'll get it.
You need a "Not on My Watch" medal for the Lumina step. Did you get one of these on kill?
I've heard they can. But during all my grind for Wendigo, Oxygen and Loaded Question I never got any to drop.
I've had the Prospector catalyst drop for me in a strike once before, I think at least one more as well but I can't put my finger on it.
I got coil catalyst to drop on a strike. That one i remember anyway. I just remember because it was one of the few i wanted because it makes it a lot deadlier in crucible

Um, how the fuck hell is your medal count higher than your double kills? I had that finished before I even had like 50% of my medals...
The gun's broken as all hell though. Every time I take it off for PvE I feel like I'm handicapping myself.
The medals come super easily if you run Fighting Lion in comp. And good luck with double kills in comp if you get above 2000.
I did it with ambitious assassin birthright and lion. Tried Colony and it's just not as good as always having ammo.
Well I always used Colony for Comp so by the time I started actually grinding for the quest I already had like half the double kills I needed.
That explains it. When your only GL is a heavy it's more rare to get the medal.
I tried that by I could never time the explosions right. I just settled with the tether+Colony trick during Mayhem.
Colony is not good. Play of the game with proximity grenade is the best. (For me ofc.)

Yeah I just shut my brain off and autopiloted them, and hung out with my gf and our dog while running the 10 strikes. I'm pretty sure I lost count and may have accidentally played 1+ extra strikes lol...
All I need now are about 5 crucible matches, which is pretty much a breeze, and I can get my blues.

Wait, they announced they're finally fixing that POS quest? I already suffered through it, but I'm glad no one else will have to (At least to that extent) anymore.
Yep. The Mountaintop and Wendigo quest.
Though they haven't given any specifics on what exactly they're going to change.
Those can go quick enough since an event is usually popping off at different areas of the planet.
And you would usually have 1 of 2 people there but if not you can do them solo.
Wait until you have to do 10 heroics (although its any planet) lol
IIRC they said it would be extended due to the delay of Shadow keep

Unless there is new information today this is incorrect. Only Moments of triumph has been extended.
