Yup, hours of fun gameplay over the course of a Year. Seems like a good $10 DLC to me

Sometimes I disgust even myself with how I use Lion.

(Remember Lion doesn't have proximity detonation. All manual.)

D2 maps are so lame compared to D1.

And of all the best D1 maps, they've only brought back Shores of Time.

Truth is such a weird choice to bring back. Tracking is useless in D2 PVP, especially when you could just use Wardcliff..... and a single void rocket in PVE? Definitely not
Maybe it'll have 3 rockets per mag like it did in D1? That'd make it an interesting choice for a myriad of engagements.

D1 had its own fair share of shitty maps.

But I want Rusted Lands, First Light, Skyshock, Widow's Court and Twiligth Gap

yeah i dont see as is truth topping wardcliff in crucible. wardliff is just a cheat code especially now i have the catalyst. running two rocket scavengers...funny to shoot one rocket (or more), get killed with one rocket remaining, come back and pick up your own brick, get 3 more lol.

I used a rocket launcher last night for first time in a while. Void, on void singe. They feel like ass, without waste of a spot rocket launcher reserves you get 5-7 shots...which feels like not much damage.
Rockets need more reserve ammo across the board. Aggressive GL with Spike Grenades easily outdoes even Wardcliff for damage on a boss just simply because you have so much more ammo. And that's Legendary vs Exotic not even Legendary vs Legendary in which case is there even a Legendary launcher worth using in PVE?

I don't see Truth being the god it was from D1 in D2. I feel like D2 maps are a lot tighter and closed off, can't imagine we'll be seeing as many "look at this amazing gif of the rocket flying off the map then coming back 'round and getting the kill!" gifs as we did in D1.

It'd be fantastic if Bungie would do something about Sentinel Shield hit registration because my god is it atrocious.

I've lost count how many times I've smacked guys heard the loud audio cue of the shield making contact only to see my opponent... just walk away completely unscathed.

Didn't they already address this issue awhile ago?

Just went up against a team with a couple of Unbroken's on Solitude and figured we were going to get blown out. They lead by 5 - 10 the whole game but then we started mounting a comeback and ended up forcing a tie, 93 - 93. Shaxx was dumbfounded and I was ecstatic. My experience with folks carrying the Unbroken title on the PC is that for the very most part they have earned it and these two were very good but because Solitude is so chaotic, especially inside, if you can hold that area you can win since that's where Heavy spawns.

I rolled Cerberus + 1 with Tatara Gaze and even though it was a meat grinder still finished with 21 kills and a 1.5 K/D (with a couple of Assault Specialists thrown in) which I am absolutely ok with considering the competition. Fun match!

Quick question if anyone can help. Can I do the Lights Out step (team wipe while invading) of the Malfeasance quest in Gambit Prime?

Am I reading this right? Crimil's has Opening Shot as an intrinsic perk? Because it totally feels like it does. It would account for why it feels better to me than Duke does

so I bought vanilla D2 at launch, played with it a bit but stopped. I recently picked up forsaken on a sale and had to stop for a bit because of school. I didnt get to play it too much

now I got a lvl 47 warlock with a 486 light level, I was wondering what I should be doing to catch up since apparently there is content in the season pass to lvl up quickly? I dont think I finished the forsaken campaign, im currently doing it rn

Finish the campaign, get to level 50, there will be a catch up quest for you on June 4th to get to power level 690, it's apparently for everyone, not just Annual Pass holders.

All players who have completed the Forsaken campaign will be welcome to try the Menagerie once, as well as access the Imperial Summons quest. This will grant players Power Surge gear at 690 power to help them jump directly in to the new season of content.
Nothing about having to own annual pass. Things AP owners get access to are detailed in another section.

It's just one of those bungie things I guess, where they mess up the wording.

Owners of the Destiny 2 Annual Pass will receive their third extension of Destiny end-game content. Benedict-44 will be waiting in the Tower to help launch the new season. He'll have your imperial summons, introducing you to treasure hunts, the Menagerie, and more.

So yeah, even if non AP owners can access the quest, it will probably not grant them power surge gear.

'All players who have completed Forsaken campaign' simply implies that access to the Menagerie and the Summons quests will require having beaten Forsaken campaign.

Although granting all Forsaken owners the power surge quest would be a smart move to entice them getting the Annual Pass.

True, which is prob the motive by letting them access the Menagerie once and quest without having the AP.

Again, reading this

Each week, owners of Forsaken will also be invited to explore the worlds of Destiny 2 in search of treasure. Benedict-44 will have different objectives for you to complete during the hunt, leading to powerful rewards on your journey to 750 power.

makes it sound like non-AP players will have access to a bit more stuff than usual.

Guess we'll find out in a few days. Better than analyzing Deej-speak lol

This actually sounds like something in the veins of Invitation of the Nine.

I've been on a Destiny break due to burnout (the game is not compatible with real life right now) but the annual pass has been some of the best bang for buck. Overall, D2 has been one hell of a package.

I'm never going to get one of those resist mods from the Reckoning armor. Holy moly these things are rare.

On a positive note, got the curated Bug-Out Bag and Sole Survivor for the first time, so that was nice. Have found some very nice rolls on Season of The Drifter weapons. Still waiting on a snapshot + opening shot sniper rifle, but that's about it.
