Still no official announcement but somebody in here said they usually do it a few chapters before
I mostly ask because for all intents and purposes it feels like nearly every major loose end has been wrapped up, for better or for worse, and there seems to be little room for the story to grow or expand in interesting fashion from here without a sudden serious change or revelation about the world. Of which that could turn out like those things often do and just lessen the series instead of being an interesting, exciting expansion of scope.

Kimetsu no Yaiba Part 2: Tanjiro and Kanao's grandson travels overseas to hunt down a demon that fled from Japan long ago. All this time, it was laying low and waiting for Muzan to finally die, and now a new Demon Slayer Corps must be formed to prevent it from rising up and becoming the next Muzan.

I doubt it will ever get explain.
I don't think there is anything else to it. Its a plant that for some reason can turn people into demons and it was use don Muzan. I'm assuming that's basically it.
Tanjiro: turned Nezuko back to normal
Zenitsu: proved himself, avenged his master and surpassed his fellow apprentice
Inosuke: Avenged his mom and Shinobu
Kanao: Avenged her sisters
Sanemi: Made up with his brother and met his family in the afterlife
Giyu: lol
I don't really see how the story can continue for much longer. All of these characters have finished their stories and the same is true for everyone else even if they were alive. It's pretty much impossible to make fights more meaningful for those characters than what they just got.

Since Croc draws inspiration from JoJo I can definitely see a continuation, but with different characters and a different setting.
I feel like the characters are the main appeal of the series though whereas I'm not sure the same thing was true for JoJo part 1.
Its not over its confirmed that right at the end well see a group of villains in super silly outfits, one wearing a gothic doll outfit and an umbrella with like razor blades and shit, standing on top of a rooftop doing evil laughs.

The issue here is that we can't really compare since part 1 of Jojo was what, 5 volumes? We're on 20 now here in Demon Slayer. So unless the Crocodile kills everyone or does something really interesting, if it continues it'll like Bleach did post Aizen, nobody will care.

Next week Kimetsu will beat One Piece record of 38 million in less than a year. If people want to get a better idea of how incredible this feat is. Well the 38 million from One Piece came from the Marineford arc which in Japan was incredibly huge and boosted the manga so much. So for Kimetsu to beat that is ridiculous because no one thought that record would of been beaten. Kimetsu is a monster in Japan lol.
So yea I honestly believe that Jump is trying their hardest to have Croc continue Kimetsu in any way. If you have a series growing this fast and selling better than your biggest series in the magazine it would be a bad business move to have it end. I'm willing to bet Kimetsu also plays a part in selling their magazine as well. Plus some of the newer series in the magazine aren't selling well at all so it gives them even more of a incentive.

I also find the amount of fanart with Doma and Shinobu pretty disturbing.

Considering Boichi (artist for Dr. STONE) created a YT channel recently of him just drawing Dr. STONE characters makes me think otherwise. Then again, the guy is insanely talented.
Checking on the channel again, the videos all went private due to WSJ interference. That's a shame.
