Never gave the original a fair shot so I'm looking forward to playing it.
Interesting if true, but I'm not sure about Sony's approach. The only two exclusive titles will be niche games?
Are you me? XDI got a couple of levels in - scary witches in prison I think - then hit one of the NPCs in the nexus and couldn't finish it (they kept running after me and attacking me)
We've been conditioned to think of the best games as never being available at launch.
Presumably because he wrote "had" rather than "have", but I agree that it doesn't sound like this has necessarily changed.

Even if you considered the June event to be all realtime/in-engine stuff, DS only showed what you'd normally consider a teaser - not any gameplay. So I think based on other games showing more comprehensive gameplay, its pretty reasonable to have considered DS a little further out vs some of the other games that were shown (GT7, R&C, Sackboy, Spiderman for instance)
Yeah its about time for Demon's Souls to get its dues. Its gonna do really well.Niche? Dark Souls series sold 27million units till now, i would say that is a very lucrative niche.
having the remake of Demon´s Souls at launch would be a BIG selling point for many players around the world, even if its not a From developed title.
there are loads of Souls fans who never experienced this game, it will be a big hit.
I believe it's a joke referencing a poster(s) calling Spiderman "niche."and if it makes it, how is Miles Morales niche? or was this post a joke?

Demons Souls was a niche game in its era, but yeah, the visibility and awareness of the series has changed drastically since then.

I'm referencing an infamous post! I absolutely agree Dark Souls has put the IP in the spotlight and both games will be huge.
?
What are you talking about? We already know Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank are coming at launch with GT7 possibly hitting launch window too plus many other first party titles. Don't know where you are getting that.

I just thought that post was silly because they were talking about the magic of discovery in a new game unknown to the world and filling out the wiki or something. Everything has been known for over a decade. There won't be any significant differences, if any.Yeah, but very few people played it relative to the rest of the series. Its new to 80 to 90% of everyone who bought Dark Souls 3.
So anything that's not a 3rd person story driven game is niche now? I could care less about Spider-man (or any super hero game) but I wouldn't call that and ARPG games niche.Interesting if true, but I'm not sure about Sony's approach. The only two exclusive titles will be niche games?
I really, really stress the "I'd doubt it if only for COVID reasons" part of that tweet

Unless the console is $500+, if DeS is day one I'll be there day 1.
You heard it is getting delayed?I really, really stress the "I'd doubt it if only for COVID reasons" part of that tweet
