I was thinking about this as well earlier in the month in a TP thread

I was just thinking about this the other day too. This is how we get the three sea shells. Also the no physical contact in that film is the result of this Corona virus and the aftermath of that. The no profanity rules in the film is also the result of everything becoming offensive. Demolition Man is turning out to be a truly prophetic movie.

Eh, I think Demolition Man was the more actual lowkey smart movie. IMO Last Action Hero felt like it though it was really smart lampooning stuff that everyone was already calling out for a decade or two.

It's not, people in the future just have an intense socially-learned hatred of crustaceans. It's more than just an aversion to them, in the future people are actually antagonistic towards them. Using them as fecal removing equipment is considered humanity's great diss.
