Bloomberg and Biden are so easily rattled in a debate that I could imagine Trump actually showing up to those. Same goes for Buttigieg. Hell, I think Bloomberg would avoid Trump if we got down to that nightmare scenario. Warren is a toss-up, depending on how much mileage he thinks he could get out of the "Pocahontas" line.

Straight-up, Bernie is the only one Trump is certain to avoid like the plague.

I'm curious why you think Buttigieg would be rattled

Regardless of anything else, so far these are the numbers Biden needed to post to have a shot.

It would seem that BIden over preforming is Pete and Klob voters reading the writing and going ahead to switch over. Without Steyer in the race, who knows who his voters would have went to. Either Bernie or Biden side could make a case I suppose. The main question is if the % breakdown across large AA voting areas (not in the south) will be enough to over take Bernie.

Guess on ST if the moderate wing does start to go behind Biden (not just black voters), it could be much more mixed in results than what we thought.

What's not to say that Trump painting Bernie as a socialist/communist wouldn't turn down voter turn out and lead to an easy Trump win in Nov?

but these are black voters. they were never going to vote for Pete or Klob. Also Steyer does really well with old folks it looks like, so they probably would've gone to Biden

Wow Biden crushed it. Feels like Sanders didn't even try in SC. I got mailers, ads, door knocks from every campaign even got one from Deval Patrick yesterday, not a damn thing from Bernie

Also feels like this is what the race would've looked like without the myriad moderates and billionaires

Makes sense.
All the candidates are abysmal when it comes to race and Biden's been sold as the 'safe' choice that's been sold who can beat Trump.

Could have been Bloomy with his store bought swell in the polls but luckily his fucked up bigotry became a national issue along with those debates so people removed from NYC politics knew what was up.

Its interesting seeing all the candidates fail to sell themselves to the black vote...either by ignoring them or by coming off as not being able to win on the national level.

Kinda depressing the deep cynical pragmatism that's settled in, but arguably that's what's kept em safe because minority activist progressives get treated much differently then your chapo traphouse types (along with no support from said chapos) so gotta keep the movement local

That's seems to be what the split is amongst black voters in general, iirc.

Yeah generally speaking black voters 45 and under go to Bernie, above that and it's Biden.

I am going to be really curious on the overall black vote count for Pete and Klob.

Bloomberg isn't on the ballot in SC.

I don't think corporate Dems have a compelling story.

Sure I'd take them over Trump just on the environment issues alone. But they still seem blind to the systemic issues Sanders and Warren have addressed.

I've been following these primaries closely and based on the media coverage of the previous ones I know full well that first is the worst and the real momentum is from those in 2nd and 3rd.

Congrats Bernie on the non-1st place finish!

He's not on the ballot in SC. We'll have to wait until Tuesday to see how Bloomberg does.

Not America
I am still struggling to understand how the fuck is Biden so popular with older black folks. Dude fucking lies like sipping cappuccino and displayed visibly creepy attitude towards women.

Of course, Trump is the same way with lies and women and enough Americans were able to either overlook or condone it to put that cunt in the office.

So, is Biden actually really good at understanding black issues and knowing how to approach them? Is this the vote reflecting that?
he's an old racist who happened to be Obama's vp

somewhere between complaining about 7/11 clerks being too Indian and black people being dumb because they don't hear enough words as children he might've made some progress.

A link to the good old days of Obama? Who did what for them exactly?

Biden plummets to a commanding victory. This doesn't bode well for his campaign going forward.

They do not and I have no intention of ever supporting them again. Either we get people who actually give a fuck about the poor and the vulnerable and putting the 1% and corporations in their place or I am out. Never voting corporate dem again in my life. Two decades was enough for their bullshit.

I'm gonna give an actual response compared to others. Biden is probably the person who campaigned with and for black people the most in the entire democratic primary field this year. He has campaigned with and for black people for decades and it shows in the results and endorsements he is getting with people like Clyburn in SC and getting the most black endorsements so far.
