I don't know much about the DNC system but what the fuck are super delegates? Sounds like something you'd see in a corrupt banana republic.

i cant wait to sleep in on november 3rd if the DNC pulls this shit
(or at least ill threaten to)

Yang hasn't been right about much of anything, despite so there's no need to give his words much weight.

And if you sleep in and don't at least vote downticket races, you're going to fuck yourself and everyone else for generations, because aside from basically giving Trump a vote, it ensures Republicans keep the Senate, may take the House, and maybe even your state house, where they'll be happy as shit to gerrymander districts for the next decade.

Please vote.

Is Duckworth on the short list? I've always liked her, but don't know if her politics align with Bernie or not. Plus, is she strategic enough being from Blue state?
Definitely. Her limited appearances at the national level have been well received and having a military veteran on the ticket would work well as a foil to the jingoism of Trump, plus her Thai background helps represent a badly underrepresented voting bloc. The fact that she's from a blue state isn't necessarily a bad thing since it means she can be safely chosen and replaced with a Democrat if elected.

i will vote for whoever the nominee is and support down-ballot dems too. I thought about it and i think for the sake of climate i would even vote for bloomberg unfortunately. that said deterrence is powerful and i will gladly threaten not to vote for certain candidates on some bernie or bust shit if it means continued victory for bernard

I feel like there must be some sort of Constitutional question about whether a Puerto Rican politician could run for VP. That's an interesting concept.
The only question might be if when referencing the united states in requiring 14 years residence in the united States means just the states or if it includes territories.

She received 5 million dollars to her anti-voter suppression initiative in December and invited Bloomberg to an event in January. Recently she defended the idea that Bloomberg is buying the election.

She has also been super clear that she won't endorse anyone. If the polls are close enough in Georgia Sanders is too savvy a politician to pass it up.

Yang saying Bernie losing the nomination by super delegates is the most likely outcome.
For being the "MATH" guy I'd like to see his on this one.

The threshold for passing goes up when supers come into play. At this rate Sanders is going to be the only singular candidate supers could push across the line and if he outperforms in a few key states on Super Tuesday he'll possibly be the only one without literally every other candidate pooling together.

Are we really already picking VPs for Bernie? There's no way the DNC allows him to be the nominee. As much as young Americans like the idea of socialism, he would be crushed by Trump unless there is a collapse and we are pretty close to that being out of play before November (it doesn't happen over 24 hrs).

Why do you think Trump is hoping Bernie wins and Fox News is pushing it?

VP ought to be Baldwin if we're going for territorial strategy, Ayanna if we're going for rallying the base.
Yeah, I'm kind of with you on both of these.
Especially if we're considering Wisconsin as winnable with Baldwin on the ticket. That's HUGE.
That said, you're also opening up a crucial senate seat to run that gambit.

Duckworth would also be a worthy choice.

Exactly my point. I think we are counting the chickens before they hatch.....let's first be assured that Bernie gets the nomination before deciding on VPs....

Except polling doesn't indicate Bernie will lose to Trump at all. Whether the dems try to prevent him from getting the nom remains to be seen.

Also Trump isn't hoping for it. We have him on recording talking about how badly he would have done against a Sanders nom.

Chaos. No doubt there's a whole wide awake nightmare disinformation campaign ready to roll on Sanders in league with antagonist foreign powers.
But that will be the case no matter who gets nominated.

this is the battle for the soul of our country when half of it is already lost. Guess you go big or go home.

Julián Castro is my dream VP pick for Bernie. Double down on the good stuff, don't try to placate anyone.

Source? Trump has publicly tweeted congratulating Bernie, has complimented Bernie in his rambling campaign stops, and the Russians have been trying to help Bernie. Trump went and attacked Biden with the whole Ukraine scandal to begin with.

The optimism on ERA is sometimes a bit astonishing. I do think Bernie will do a bit better than people expect, but if you expect Trump to lose you're underestimating Trump again. Trump's approval rating has been fairly flat and if anything has gone up in the past couple of months... Just with like Hillary, ERA is likely going to be so disappointed as Trump wins his second term.
