Looks like I have to hold my nose while I vote yet again.

Sure do hope a bunch of people join me instead of staying home...

Pretty sure 2016 taught us that "lesser of two evils" and " Vote for me, at least I'm not Trump" isnt going to be enough to get us over the finish line. If Biden manages to screw it up like Hillary did, I dont want to read anymore guilt-tripping comments towards progressives again. The moderates have had plenty of chances now, they better deliver. I'll stifle my vomit long enough to vote for Biden in November if it comes to that, but this is the last time I'll settle for a right wing Democrat.
Here's the thing tho, Biden--and this is really important--has a penis.

You need progressives through out congress that support such policies in order to make the a reality. A president is the reflection of the party as a whole, and the Democratic party is not 100% progressive.

You want a revolution? You start at the base of the pyramid and build your way up. The tip is the President and the bottom is the voters, everything in between goes from local elected officials to State officials and federally elected officials. The tip of the pyramid cannot move the entire pyramid if he doesn't have a supportive base.

Exactly. The Presidency isn't a goddamn monarchy. Trump is able to get shit done because Mitch hates all living things and gleefully enjoys watching people suffer. That's why the GOP sticks with him.

Bernie won't have a Mitch in control to help him.

Is that how you rationalize being ok with a status that kills the poor?

That's my fear.

A collective party with pundit brain convincing themselves Kerry/Hillary/Gore 4.0 has to work this time.

It's like no one learns anything

Remind me again the last time a leftist socialist was president? If you're gonna use past to predict what's going to happen in November, don't cherry pick.

The last theee democratic presidents have been moderates.

I would have loved to have seen what would have happened in MN if Amy stayed in. This suggests she would have crushed everyone.

Ever since the results started trickling out with Biden leading, theres' a disturbing amount of people celebrating and going "I told you so" about Sanders.

To everyone like this, fuck that noise. You shouldn't be happy about Biden when that means that US is going to continue killing people due to no true M4A. You shouldn't be happy about the candidate with the worst climate plan getting a nom. YOU, as a centrist, may be ok with bullshit half-measures and the status quo from 2008. Most people trying to actually build a better world aren't.

STFU centrists
I'm with you.

I will vote for Biden if he wins cause as a black man my choice is neutral indifference to my people/benign evil to down right Nazi shit. So Biden wins that. But not cause he's good on anything. He isn't. The only thing he has going for him is he isn't Trump.

This is what we get with Biden: healthcare? Eh we will patch Obamacare up, it'll be fine. Student loan debt? Too bad fuckers. Environmental concerns? Hey I'm not Trump so I'll get back in the Paris accords (and as I'm an old fuck I don't care, I'll be dead when the shit hits the fan).

Like so many other "centrist" views, it's enough to make people feel good without doing anything. You think felons will get to vote? You think any real bankruptcy reform will happen to help struggling families? Criminal justice reform? Please. Liberal judges? Lol only Republicans put up hardcore ideologues. No DC state good no anything. And SC will end up as5-4 mark my words. But again. I can't see the Nazi president in office so I'll vote for a literal pause button.

If Biden wins MN and TX tonight, it's possible he could actually get a majority of pledged delegates by the convention.

The big picture of what, reinforcing late-stage capitalism?
Of giving Trump and Republicans an easy conservative majority in the Supreme Court on a silver platter for decades to come, which will jeopardize the rights and lives of every woman, minority, LGBQT+.

Decades.

It's funny how responses like yours never have an answer to this very real risk when rejecting Joe as the nominee.

As far as Warren goes, my feelings on her are contingent on if Tulsi Gabbard is indeed back on the debate stage.

'Cause God, it would suck to lose Warren only to get an Assad-apologist and member of an anti-LGBT cult on center stage instead. Bleh.

Unfortunately, don't trust either Sanders or Biden to call her garbage out, and Warren's been a great attack-dog for Bloomberg, so if Tulsi's back, it would be worth it to have Warren stay on stage of only so she can dunk on her.

Of course, if the DNC changes the rules that all might not matter. But damn it just sucks that Gabbard is technically outlasting so many better candidates despite she herself being one of the worst. Yuck.

I was really hoping for a Sanders take over but still happy with Biden.
I just hope he's not getting early dementia.

It's disheartening moreso in that if this is how he is during the Primary I'm fearing Hillary 2.0 where Biden just doesn't even show up in some crucial areas. I'll vote for Biden if it comes to it but this lazy coasting he's doing to the Nomination needs to stop.

God, if a bunch of people in the Republican Party see Trump as the future, imagining who they put up next time makes my god damn skin crawl.

Also, congratulations to Warren for a strong third place in her home state
Trump is the end of the gravy train for them. They have nothing after he's gone. The cupboard is completely bare.

I am talking about the reality of democracy. Its how democracy works. I can't force my beliefs down other peoples throats, I have to persuade them and keep chipping away at the things I don't agree with.

I am not centrist at all. But I think Bernie constantly shitting on the Democratic Party doesn't help him with lots of Democrats.

like when the other Democrat candidates thought it wasn't really nice of Bernie to mention the countries the US destabilized or did regime change in.

All they want to hear is how Democrats are the good guys, it's really that simple.

This is what I'm hating about this development.

Everyone says Bernie needs to "earn" more votes. What did Joe do? He won SC, but Bernie won NV and NH. The party was ready to sign up behind him with a semblance of a heartbeat. Biden's a nice guy and a good candidate but I'm surprised at all the moderates gleeful about tonight because quite frankly all Biden has done is exist next to Obama.
