It was the perfect storm. That debate fucked Bernie hard. It was five on one with a side show of the donor crowd and shity mods. Then, no time for a comeback before SC. All that was left was the perfect timing of the moderate consolidation.I mean you have to give Biden some credit. This is easily the biggest primary comeback in history.
That's the needle you're looking at doing it most likely. It's already back to Biden. I suggest you don't look at instant moves as it re-adjusts sometimes.
So when Biden inevitably loses against Trump, are we just gonna have a repeat where people blame Bernie instead of the fact that a moderate lost to a massively racist and xenophobic fascist?Shit like this is what turned people off from Bernie and his fanbase 4 years ago.
Glad to see nothing was learned...
Refresh
yeah, i see that, biden still has a decent lead in NC but i must've slipped just enough to make it slightly competitive a 1% reporting
From the sounds of things hes going to pick pete.
You are unfortunately right.Look deep down, you know why. I just voted for Bernie in Texas, and was more than happy to do so; with that said, many of his supporters think he cannot be blamed for any short comings.
Disappointing but the fight goes on. Progress is never easy. We'll see what happens in November. I'm still adamant that I won't vote for Biden but it could be worse, we could have Bloomberg, so I can live with this, I just can't support it with my vote. I suspect Trump will win reelection because I'm not alone, many of us are not going to show up for Biden. I look forward to 2024 and hopefully a strong stable of left candidates to choose from.
You know, young voters have got to start showing up, but the nature of the system makes the odds just insurmountably stacked against them. The problem is that it's a vicious circle- they don't show up so politicians don't campaign to them and they don't show up. And then we end up with a bunch of older people deciding outcomes, people who like the system, or at least fundamentally believe that it's working but need a few tweaks.
What? This is the kind of garbage that makes the handful of young voters apathetic to politics in general.
Can someone who isn't overreacting tell me if Sanders is still on track to win the most delegates during Super Tuesday?
Bernie doesn't have the black vote. No one has the young vote excited.
Trump 2020.
Maybe they should try voting. This is the kind of garbage that makes the handful of young voters apathetic to politics in general.
What Biden policies are there to get excited about? He is not Trump?
Jesus how do you people pass up someone like Bernie, can you ship him over to other countries? We need people like him.
From the sounds of things hes going to pick pete.
He practically called him his son.
Your conscience prefers effectively giving Trump a vote?Yeah if Biden is the nominee I will not vote. I'll take that hit on my conscience.
i'm counting places like virginia florida ohio etc as well.Hick states are going to Trump no matter who the Dem candidate is.
This. For fuck's sake.
Lets not do this. Bernie saw what happened in 16 in the south and with black voters and didn't do enough to change that in 2020. He didn't need to win or be overly competitive but you cant lose that many states by such vast margins and expect to still win the nom. And thats on him.
We tried nothing and we're all out of ideasThis is the kind of garbage that makes the handful of young voters apathetic to politics in general.
We're not going to get CA results for days, if not weeksLet's see how Bernie does in CA and TX. Maybe he overperforms there

This benefitted Bernie in 2016 and is working against Bernie in 2020 due to the coalition differences between the two races.I wonder if MA having an semi-open primary makes a difference. Most people are unenrolled and can vote in either primary
Call it what you want. I don't want either of them. Biden will lose to Trump regardless.
being "competitive" in a state that wasn't before doesn't seem that huge, sorry? How many times does it need to be said why this happened? Why the numbers are different now?

You say that but these states that Biden is winning are almost certainly going to Trump in the generalBiden keeps winning hick states
i want bernie to win obviously but looks like Biden really is the best option to beat trump
