How is he so good at making music!?
That's his main calling, making games (that use his music) is his side gig.

It's on sale right now on the eShop if you're interested! Is Undertale worth playing? I see it every time I'm in Best Buy.
I thought he said he may, he doesnt know. He never worked with a teamhe said he was hiring more people so it wouldn't take as long as the gap between Undertale to Deltarune
if you wanna go nuts, theres a collectors edition as wellI generally go for physical media when possible. Thanks for the heads up though.
Thank goodness that's still available to get. I need to raise up some money ASAP.
Also I guess this confirms that Deltarune will be released episodically, which is nice since I cannot wait three-four years for the Fun Gang to return
Physical copies still are available to buy both in-store and online though! So if you still want to go physical you can try that!I already have Undertale on Steam but couldn't get into it, wanted to try again on Switch but wanted it physical. I think that ship sailed though so maybe I should just get it digitally.

But if you're fine with digital, the digital version is on sale in the eShop for $9.99!
As soon as i saw the announcement i told friends in discord "im ready to pay for this free game i already played" because that's how much i want Toby to get the resources he needs to make the rest of the game happen.

Toby had already been working on the concepts and ideas of Deltarune around the same time as Undertale (he has notes from around 2012 for both games), but the success of UT seemed to push him to get the concept of DR out there and in as many hands as possible, to show that it's going to be a pretty different experience, and to show that as a proof of concept its very solid and can be built off of.I'm also amazed that he made this and release it for free, console certification isn't free after all.
I feel like for a long time after the release on PC there were LTTP's popping up going "I've played this for a few hours and don't get what people see in it", where the OP returns a week later with "OK, holy shit, never mind."And I'm really torn on it so far. I can kind of see why some people find it a bit endearing but at the same time it feels really janky and amateur enough that part of me feels like it's an elaborate internet joke to get people to play.
I'm sad that my OTs for the console versions never really made it to big heights lol. But I'm not giving up! I'll be there to make one for DELTARUNE Chapter 2 and on if I'm lucky.happened a bit again after the first console releases as well, especially in the OT's
Freaking dang it if only Fangamer didn't charge immediately for these things....Was really pleased to see this. I'm also happy to see that the Switch will get new borders...
Also, in other related news... Fangamer is now has this for preorder.
Knowing Toby there will be trophies and a super easy Platinum and then he won't add more when the other chapters come out haha!Wonder if the PS4 version will have trophies or if it'll be treated like a demo (Which I guess it technically is).

No one talks about the actual best track
Really, this is some David Wise level shit.

I want to assume these ports mean that progress on the rest of the chapters is going smoothly?
Here's a twitter thread showing some behind the scenes shots of this little guy:Was really pleased to see this. I'm also happy to see that the Switch will get new borders...

No trophies this time (and yes, treating it like a demo). Thanks, guys - super happy we were able to get this out (and for free) - wanted to give back a little after all the console love for UT.Wonder if the PS4 version will have trophies or if it'll be treated like a demo (Which I guess it technically is).

Finishing up the PS4 version literally as I post this - hoping to get it out by 2/28 as well, but if not, it'll be very soon afterwards.

its the same thingWait is this the same thing as the demo or is this a different thing?
The same thing, just for the Switch insteadWait is this the same thing as the demo or is this a different thing?
Just to dispel any myths, if we're comparing this to, say, porting Resident Evil 2 to Switch, then sure, you could say it's not "that much effort." But otherwise, ports like this require a ton of time and resources - we've spent most of the past three months working on these, ironing out GMS bugs and compatibility issues, working with the platform holders to address console-specific needs and functions, creating and testing border functionality, fixing bugs from the PC version, testing the hell out of both ports... It's a ton of work. We're very happy we could get it ready in such a short amount of time, but I promise it wasn't easy. :)Considering that his stuff gets advertised on Nintendo Direct I have to wonder if Nintendo cut him a deal about the entire thing.
It probably didn't that much effort to get Deltarune onto the switch.

People were able to run the demo (mostly, was still buggy) by hacking its files into the Switch version of Undertale, the two games run off the same engine after all.
Though presumably things are going smoothly if he's already thinking about the console versions.
