what I always praise about BOTW was that the game design allowed so much freedom, that it allowed me to not play the game. The combat was easily one of the worst I've played this gen, but the game design allowed me to skip all combat except for obligatory bossfights. So my biggest praise of the game is that I was allowed to avoid playing big parts of the game lol. Weapon degradation sucks, traversal was fun and non-Gyro puzzles were great.This is a weird statement. I'm assuming that, as a whole, you didn't enjoy BotW then because the free gameplay loop is basically most of the game and it was what made it great.
