Awesome, the Kung Pow gifs are coming out. Even if this thread goes poorly at least we will have this moment to look back on fondly.

Which is more impactful and official, metacritic or opencritic? AFAIK, opencrtic is more lenient has higher scores than metacritic.
I didn't even know he that he is working in Sony building to start with. :p
It seems Sony provided him with everything. really great from them.
91 here. Cant wait to wake up and see the destruction. And to see how reviewers react to whatever the game actually is.
I hope so. And I hope corybarlog is already working on his new IP. The lovecraftian survival horror game in space (like Dead Space) for PS5 :P
Well, Journey won GAF GOTY too, so I guess I'm making the larger point that games that are basically walking sims can get adulation, as long as emotion trumps desire for actual gameplay.
The point is really that critics aren't necessarily as conventional as one might assume.
Expecting it to be a good but not great game, going by the gameplay we've seen. Saved by a good story.

Love how Shadowbringers came out of nowhere this year with highest metacritic score.
Are we sure that once you strip away the cutscenes Death Stranding is significantly longer?

Yeah, the Kojima Productions offices are located in the Shinagawa Season Terrace which is across the street from Sony's (old) global headquarters. It's really cool. KojiPro is on the 12th floor. You can visit and see the awards they've gotten (up until the entrance). There's even a LUDENS statue in the lobby for everyone to gawk at as they pass by.
