Death Stranding is something that can use DualSense features better than most games and Kojima loves to do funny things with his games too, so I expect some of the most interesting uses of those features.

Genuinely curious what this will be. Death Stranding already seemed like Mr. Kojima going pure auteur and making this weird idiosyncratic game. Will this Kojima Cut go further in that direction or an example of hindsight changing a project.

It's hardly the first time he revisited a game (Substance, Subsistence) but the wording of "Director's Cut" is the interesting bit.

That's a safe bet. Navtra confirmed that this was a thing at the beginning of the year and said that even if there's a free upgrade path there's still going to be paid stuff because it includes new story content.

Hopefully this fixes some issues and elevates the game. I guess it will have more cutscenes in the middle of the game, as that had an impact on the strength of the story (for me, at least).
